There was a thread already which I am way too lazy to find where someone posted a picture that showed measurements before a competition, they used to measure and weigh the competitors, his arms measured 21.5" which obviously means he had 22" either offseason or at his best ever shape. Arnold maybe stepped on the olympia stage with 19"-20" on his worst day.

Arnold wrote in his encyclopedia that at his heaviest his arms measured 22&1/2 inches.

Whats the big deal about measurements though? Lots of Pro's have 20-22 inch arms, what matters is what they look like. Besides, superior measurements are mostly better peak, not overall development.

Look fellas. Just because Arnolds arm dont look as large as ronnies, doesnt mean they arent bigger by sheer number.

Arnold probably didn't have 22inch arms. Even if Ronnie has 21.75 on his bad arm no pump, blah, blah, blah, Ronnie's arms KILL arnolds. Not even remotely close, 300lbs on stage at 5'11 with a high bicep peak and much bigger tri's than Arnold too. Arnold was under 250 on stage competing at 6% bodyfat at 6'2, lets get real.... I'd say Arthur Jones got this one right. If those vids showed Ronnie with 23-24's yeah, then maybe arnold might make 20-21. As is stands I dont' buy it.

Ronnie definitely had bigger arms, that almost can't be argued. Last page I posted a video of a retired Ronnie having his right arm taped at 23", and I certainly don't think Arnold had 23" arms or bigger but lied to say they were 22".

Yes, 6'2" and 5'11" may seem like a big difference but:

arnold's height: 74"
ronnie's height: 71"

Because of his height, Arnold's arms should only be about 4% bigger by default.

Here is me measuring my arm at 18" completely cold slightly over 19" with a pump. If u think Arnold only had 19" arms or even 20" for that matter at his BIGGEST then you are a complete retard.

Bodybuilders through different phases of their career and life time can have different bodyweight and size to their muscles.

Arnold already said he got up to 260lbs at his biggest but didn't like carrying all that weight around and stated he felt better at 220-240lbs.

Looking at Ronnie even now in the latest MD video for the question and answer thing he just did, it's clear Ronnie is still sporting 21" arms or bigger... and his left arm because of the tricep looks about 1-2" smaller than the right arm.
But at his biggest Ronnie had 24" arms, and held 23" there for a while.

Remember we live in a 3D world assbrush. An image isn't going to show you the full girth and circumference of the arm. I think it's totally believable that Arnold's arms were four inches larger than Franco's and wouldn't be very surprised if they did measure close to (as in an inch or two) Ronnie's at their largest.
