Keith Law said he has heard from 0 scouts that would suggest to pay more than 20 mill for Lazarito. Braves must be doubling any offer right now. But he is just 16. Different situation than Moncada who had a track record. The Braves already have a verbal from Maitian for I think 4 million. So they are going to probably spend 30 million total this international period.

bump, I know a lot of us supported this. Anyone who supports the win stat, Id like to know your explanation. It is a stat that a pitcher cannot control, when a QS at least reduces some of the variance. Im not sure how anyone can support a non individual stat, in a fantasy game.

Wins is the status quo. No explanation needs to be given. It's already in place. QS is the one trying to replace something here, not the other way around.

Honestly the QS stat makes a lot more sense than W when you're trying to determine the objective value of a pitcher. For me the primary reason for sticking with W is because I've grown accustomed to comparing pitchers in this league with Wins in mind, and my keepers have been slightly influenced by the use of W as a category as opposed to QS. Plus, W is just plain easier to measure as a stat.

In the short term a switch to QS might have some implications but long term I think it's the better stat to use.

My vote still goes to Wins though.

Your argument for QS is that it's not linked to team success, right? Well what about RBI's then? Should we do away with that? Same deal with Runs. Possibly even saves and holds (although team effects becomes a bit more murky on these 2)

It's a slippery slope and honestly I don't think it's such a huge difference maker that an adjustment needs to be made from what was originally set in place. In the end I think it balances out. I got a few wins that I probably shouldn't have and was robbed a few with poor offense during a good start

so your pitcher who is all set to get his win, clinching you the week, after he went 7 strong shut out innings... has his closer, who isnt even on your fantasy team blow the save and you lose the stat. Seems legit.
