Does anyone here find Polo blue and black dont last very long? Its a shame because they are great smelling colognes. But for what you pay, id like something a little longer lasting.

Right now my collection is small and limited. I had hoped the Bleecker St. split would have come to fruition in time for me to receive it, however apparently it will not.
Right now I have.
Aventus
Pure Malt
Rochas Man
Le Male
Guess for Men (can't even find this one, which is fine for me, it isn't good IMO)
And I believe that is all. Was considering ordering A*Men off one of the miscers in this thread (forgot his handle) but I dunno if it'd get here in time. I also have a few sample vials of stuff, but obviously those aren't ideal.Fitness Journal:

Was at Saks yesturday over lunch break. Smelled all the Creed's. Didn't care for Aventus much...lady gave me a free sample though. GIT still the best IMO.

I'd go with Aventus, but then again I've never smelt Rochas Man. Possibly Le Male, but I'm biased cuz I'm a big Aventus fan
Hm, I've gotten multiple compliments on Aventus. I wasn't a fan of OV, but I thought Imperial Millesime was pretty good. Aventus/Silver Mountain Water were definitely my favorites, followed by GIT. GIT is good (and everyone loves it) but it just didn't do much for me - goes to show how different everyone's opinion on colognes are.

If you're recommending Le Male over Rochas Man and you've never experienced Man, I'd definitely suggest trying it out. After getting more time with scents like A*Men, Rochas Man and New Haarlem, it made me realize how "juvenile" Le Male is in it's attempt. Not to sound elitist, but Rochas Man seems to be what Le Male was modeled after, except the original is just SO much better.
Rochas Man remains to this day one of two of my fragrance blind buys over the years and to this day it's one of the best I've ever owned. Great scent, great projection, great longevity etc etc. And it is very low in price, I got a 1.7 oz. brand new at Marshalls for like $20 or something like that, totally worth every bit of it and then some.
Aventus is nice, but for a formal event, I don't think it'll come close to cutting the mustard, it is much more a day time scent to me. A great scent, but not an immediate attention getter if you will like some of the evening scents.Fitness Journal:

I wore Bvlgari's "Man" today and got the best compliments ever. I asked my secretary for her opinion, after a quick sniff she grabbed my arm to smell it again then flat out told me i needed to get away from her. later in the day she said she was going to get it for her husband, and they wouldn't be leaving the house for a while. Also during lunch I got caught in the rain on chestnut street under an awning, random girl started huddling up against me and wouldn't shut up about how good it smelled.
take it for what you will, but i consider those good responses.
i don't think i'd trust a bottle for more than a year, with that said, i stick with the SAMPLE bottles you get from saks/niemen's, (i go to niemen's because they're REQUIRED to give you a free sample of anything you ask for, even if they don't have one from the manufacturer.)
I just say something along the lines of, "i'd like to see how it reacts on my skin, but i'm already wearing another scent, could i have a sample?" and each time they've had to make me one, in a quarter ounce vial that they filled. Each sample has lasted me 6+ months, but i alternate between a LOT of colognes.
with that said, I think imperial millesime is the best, but GIT is the most popular.RIP Mom... 12/4/52-9/2/10

Sup dudes. Bought a bottle of Armani Mania recently and I really dig the scent. My only problem is that it does not seem to project well, although I think the longevity is good. I don't necessarily have dry skin, although it's not oily either. I usually spray once front the front to cover both pulse points on my neck and once on my wrist before lightly pressing both wrists together. Should I switch to two sprays on the neck, one for each pulse point, or does Mania just have weak projection?

one spray to the chest from about 6 inches away, let it dry before you put your shirt on. just because you can't smell it doesn't mean others can't.
someone else can cover the finer points of why you shouldn't "rub in" a cologne (aka wrists), but it spoils/alters the scent.RIP Mom... 12/4/52-9/2/10

Just bought these two 'summer' frags:
I wanted something that wasn't so common.
Live Jazz smells real good, and Chrome Sport will be my after-the-gym cologne; smells fresh and clean..
Best thing is, both are cheap.
