i haven't hit a weekly plateau yet but my loss is slowing a bit, should i wait till i have 1-2 weeks with no weight difference before i drop cals?

That's a very slow pace. My preference would be to lose faster and get cutting done with sooner (1-1.5 lbs a week). But if you're happy with the pace, rock on, at least you're losing.
Don't measure with any shorter timeframe though, 3 weeks is pretty well the minimum to truly determine a plateau, due to water balance fluctuations.

Do you have a deadline? Or are you just casually trying to shed fat? If you in fact do have a deadline, it may be better to be proactive and not reactive. If you don't have a deadline, and have plenty of time, I see now real reason in dropping calories until you hit a true plateau, which is defined usually as 3 weeks with absolutely no change.
