    Allmax Aminocore

Just bought some Aminocore from Allmax. Been using it for about 3 weeks and it is not helping me recover at all. I am sore as hell all the time. I was using Xtend and had no soreness at all. The only reason why I switched was to save a couple bucks but I am paying for it now. Stick to what works!!!! Anyone know if Allmax will take this stuff back for a refund??

I highly doubt that the cause of the soreness is a change in brands. There are so many more factors that can be at play. Are you taking the BCAA dosage from Aminocore as you were from Xtend? Has your workout routine changed? Has your diet changed? Have you been getting the same amount of sleep as before?

Nothing has changed except the powder. If I'm not mistaken, the dosages are higher in the Allmax product.

u can't seriously think that changing brands on a post-workout amino product is going to have a significant effect on DOMS. I mean, you really can't be serious with that line of thought. If you are, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.

bcaa's are bcaa's. Nothing in the amincore is going to change as far as soreness goes if your matching the same amount you were getting from xtend.

Aminocore has been my BCAA product for months now, I doubt i'll ever change.

Its like saying you got more doms after switching to a different whey brand.
BCAAs are BCAAs bro, regardless of the brand.

BCAA shouldnt even matter much if your diet provides enough protein.

this, it doesnt really add up as aminomax is a fine product and quite comprable to the other formula in question.

Holy Sh@t didn't mean to strike a nerve optimus. I'm not a chemist like some of the guys on this forum. I'll make sure to do more research before I post a question again so I don't impose my line of thought on anyone. If you were selling a bridge in Florida, I might be interested!!

On a sidenote, what flavour aminocore have you got and how does it taste? Can't seem to make the move away from XF ICE but have been looking at this product for a while.

    ^ This

Aminocore is one of my staples and I never expect it to get rid of DOMS. It's more of an endurance product, THE best intra-supplement I've ever tried. It doesn't taste great, but if you mix it with gatorade it completely negates it.

the carribean cooler (aka pina colada) flavor is great, but its sweet and you can get sick of it fast (I use 2-3 scoops a day). Cold fruit punch flavor never gets old though, you can never get sick of good ol' fruit punch! Both flavors taste great, better then the new xtend imo.

Allmax needs a new flavor for aminocore though, possibly some kind of blue rasbperry or cotton candy, both would go good.

Yeah I would never expect any product to completely negate DOMS but I find I react well to FFAA's and my current training sees me hitting the same muscle groups many times in a week so I figure this would help me somewhat.

I wouldn't use too many serves in the day and given my love of Focus XT Pina Colada I thought this might be good. I would happily dilute the mix if the flavour holds up to it (e.g Sizeon MP - I used about 3-4 times the recommended amount of water).

Fruit punch might be good too. I got some Creatine RT coming so I could combine them. Tough call
