getting really sleepy next day after working out

I workout every other day. The day after I work out, i randomly get very very sleepy (almost narcoleptic status). Usually I can't fight it, and i end up falling asleep.

I wake up in 2-5 minutes, and I wake up really hot. And when I wake up, all the muscles that I have worked out previously are sore.
This only happens after I work out. And I'm not sore prior to these "naps".

    Does anybody else get this?
And does anyone know why? Is it the body's way of fixing itself or something??

    thanks

You need to get more carbohydrates into your blood system, pre and post workout.

eat more, and try to get enough rest at night on the days you work out.

Sounds like you need a rest break.

Google overtraining symptoms and see if they match yours.

Eat and rest more. Could be just a lack of calories or could be your CNS is fried.

Ive had similar.. would fall asleep literally at work while training 5-6 days a week...

Increasing carbs/protien didnt help... and I just kept at it for months as I watched ZERO progress :s In the end tracked it down to rest.. at 8 hours a night still just wasnt getting enough. Took a week off the gym and added an extra two-three hours a night to sleep and problems gone (for me).

irons right, and its because your body has worked very hard, your muscles are sore from latic acid buid up from working out(the burn)

for optimal muscle gain you should get around 8-9 hours of sleep the day of and after you workout out, remember sleeping in one of the most important thing you can need for lifting hope this helps!!

does anybody know why someone would pm me and say im a douche for giving a crappy muscle tech supplement a honest review, can you help my rep please,he killed it!!
