I know you mean well, but bollocks.
It will take well over a year for a person at any weight to obtain 20lbs of pure muscle. As you gain "weight" you are also gaining stores of other things and not necessarily "muscle."
I would say for the average person, it would take almost 2 years...or if you were spot on with your routine and diet, 18 months.

There is no possible way to answer that question.
Yes it would help, weight gainers are just extra calories which will help you put on weight/muscle if you are having trouble getting in enough calories through whole foods, but it all depends on how much of a calorie surplus you are in which will determin how much fat you will be gaining. If you cant get enough calories through your diet in order for muscle growth then yes supplementing with a weight gainer would help, but it will only put on fat if you are too much in a calorie surplus. Weight gainers just dont automatically put on fat its just extra calories just like from whole foods, fat gain will result if calories consumed are TOO high.

most people wont gain more than 10 pounds of PURE muscle in a year, however water weight included, and any fat gains 20 pounds is achivable in 3-5 months.

from personal experience (i'm a pretty hardgainer) i went from 135-155 in about 3 months.
- edit: these 3 months i was at home during the summer and i literally ate 10oz prime rib steaks 3-4x a week w/ a ridiculous amount of garlic bread, potatoes, etc. and 5 eggs + toast every morning (like 4-5k cals a day total)
but i started at around 120 and it took me about 4months for the 120-135 jump.
and my 35lb gains definitely were not all muscle. i didn't get fat but i am definitely less defined.
my supps were just whey + creatine + avg. 3-4k cals a day.You have 3 choices in life: be good, get good, or give up. -House
