    5/3/1 review

    do any of the teens have an opinion on 5/3/1? how did you like it? what kind of gains did you see? what was your diet like during it and how did you find that affected your gains?

    I really like 5/3/1. I set up my accessory work to be more geared toward physique, while still retaining a few of Jims favorite strength accessory exercises (really liking the results from adding hyperextensions on back day, my lower back feels alot more sturdy, and my pull and form are much better, even my posture is better).

    This is my second month of 5/3/1. Its not the perfect powerlifting routine, but I've found it to be perfect for powerbuilding. You're not to burned out to do physique accessory work, like you can be with more intense powerlifting routines (like your first run of a sheiko number).
    You can wait for tomorrow, I gotta make it happen.

    531 is an excellent routine for solid, continuous, and long term progression. You get from it what you put into it though

    Went from 250x5 to 260x6 on bench in 2 months. My diet was just eating whenever I felt like it. I added dynamic effort benching on military press day.
