    How long does it take some of you guys to get back into ketosis after a carb up?

    I did a one day carb up actually it was 18 hrs and i took ala with all meals and it's tuesday and still not back in ketosis, is this normal or should i do a carb up every 2 weeks? I weigh 317lbs with 28% bodyfat. I did lose 7lbs this week, i just don't want to f--k up. Thanks for your help.

    The first few cycles it can take a day or two...it is important to eat the right kind of carbs, so as not to refill liver glycogen. By doing this I can usually get back into ketosis the afternoon after my carb-up.

    What kind of carbs do you eat? What would be ideal? I ate alot of cereal w/ non-fat milk. Any guidence would be greatly appreciated, i guess i needed more help than i thought, i got the other 6 days to a science but that carb up day has me stumped.

    Whole wheat bread, ww pasta, brown rice, rolled oats. Those are the best carbs. I have plenty of grape nuts with 1%.
