Shocker Nutrition TS2 and Testofen Log

    The Cycle:

I'm going to be running a six week cycle of Shocker Nutrition TS2 and Testofen. The Testofen is bulk powder, and, for those of you unfamiliar with Testofen, it is essentially concentrated fenugreek. The TS2 has 1710mg of Tribulus, 300mg of 6-oxo, and 200mg of DHB per dose. The Testofen and Tribulus should help to raise overall test levels, while the 6-oxo helps to raise free test levels.

    Dosing:

I will be taking the Testofen twice daily - 1 gram in the morning upon waking and 1 gram at night prior to going to bed. I will be taking the TS2 twice daily as well. On weight training days, the first dose (4 caps) will be taken 30 minutes before the workout; on non-weight training days, I will take the first dose with the Testofen in the morning. The second dose every day will be taken with the Testofen before going to sleep.

    Other supplements:

Creatine Monohydride - 10g pre and post workout
    Multivitamin - 3x daily
    Fish Oils - 1000mg 3x daily
    Green Tea Extract - 200mg 3x daily

    Day 3

I'm really noticing that even if I am tired or out of it, after my pre-workout dose of TS2, I am on FIRE! I find it easier to "flip the switch"/"get in the zone" when it's time to lift.

    Lethargy: Fairly Alert
    Muscle Soreness: None
    Overall Mood: Spacey
    MOJO: Average
    Appetite: HUNGRY!

    Day 4

It's not that I'm just hungry, I feel like I NEED food every 3 hours or so! Since I'm trying to maintain my weight and I'm eating more and more often, I may need to up my cardio a bit. I also "feel" strong if that makes any sense.

Lethargy: A little (I didn't sleep much last night)
Muscle Soreness: Back and legs are dead
Overall Mood: Very out of touch
    MOJO: A little above average
    Appetite: Hungry

    Day 5

I'm starting to put weight on pretty fast (which I need to avoid in order to stay in the lightweight/105kg strongman category). I'm probably going to add extra cardio in on Wednesday and cut back on my pasta. The problem is that I am constantly hungry now. Anyway, since I had trouble getting to sleep the night before last, I took 10mg of melatonin to knock me out - it did too good of a job; I just couldn't wake up this morning, or all day for that matter. Workout still went very well. My pressing strength is definitely up.

Lethargy: Really sleepy (too much melatonin last night)
Muscle Soreness: Back and legs are still killing me
    Overall Mood: Normal I suppose
MOJO: On the high side of average
    Appetite: Still Hungry...

    Workout

    220x4/220x5/242x2/242x1/220x5

Narrow Grip Bench Press (only pinky finger on rough)
    185x8/185x7/185x7/185x7

    Day 6

I think my weight gain may be coming from the creatine. I had just gotten back on the creatine a week or so before this cycle, and I packed on about 8 pounds over the past two weeks; I believe it has leveled out, so I presume it's the creatine bloat (I take monohydride). Libido is definitely kicking into high gear and I have noticeably more testicular mass. Muscle recovery seems to be much better. Only one problem; I've been having vivid dreams and very little deep sleep, which is leading to increased lethargy.

    Lethargy: a little tired
Muscle Soreness: A little back and tricep soreness
    Overall Mood: Apathetic
    MOJO: high
    Appetite: Small today

Had a college transfer app due at midnight tonight and missed cardio for the second time this week!!! Crap.

    Day 7

To offset the excessive amount of dreaming that this cycle seems to be causing, I took a unisom last night and got some good sleep. It's been gray and rainy outside all day, and I was having a tough time getting in the lifting mood, but I still had a decent workout. Also, I'm going to add a workout intensity section to my daily stats below. Listening to myself talk today, I realized that my aggression is definitely up.

    Lethargy: None
    Muscle Soreness: Shoulders
    Overall Mood: Normal
    MOJO: High
    Appetite: hungry
    Workout Intensity: 5

    Stones Day

*Since it was raining outside, I didn't get to do stones

    Jump Rope - 15min

    Zercher Lift (off 12" blocks)
    143x10/209x7/275x1/275x1/253x2/253x1

    Front Squat
    154x12/198x7/220x5/242x3

*Since I work out at an Olympic lifting gym, the coach, John Coffee, said I needed to retool my squat form and dropped me down to 65kg for reps

    Front Squat (cont.)
    154x10/154x10/154x10/154x10

    Romanian Deadlifts
    264x10/375x6/375x6

Ok, so I now have some numbers that I will use to gauge my progress in this cycle. They are the following:

    Farmer's Walk
    275x100'

    Axel Deadlift
    518x3

    12" Log Clean and Press
    198x1

(I will try to gauge by atlas stones, my best being the 240lb stone for 3, but I will also use the Zercher since I cannot necessarily train stones every week)

    Zercher Lift
    275x1

    Atlas Stones
    240x3

    Day 8

This cycle is definitely screwing with my deep sleep. I'm waking up multiple times during the night (last night I woke up 5 times, but that may have been due to eating a massive slice of chocolate cake and 1lb of wings right before bed). So, I'm probably going to start taking a unisom every other night or so just to keep me up on sleep. Today was chilly and windy, and I, being stupid, forgot to bring my workout hoodie with me, which meant farmer's walks were no fun today (if they are anyday!). I still managed a PR, though! My legs and back were feeling shot by the time I finished, so I emphasized upper body today. Hopefully I'm worn out enough to get some good sleep tonight! Also, I'm retooling my qualitative data so that lethargy, MOJO, Appetite, and Workout Intensity will be on a scale of 1-10, 5 being average (with the exception of lethargy, which will have 0 as "none") and the scale being logarithmic both directions.

    Muscle Soreness: Shoulders
    Overall Mood: Normal
    Lethargy: 3
    MOJO: 7
    Appetite: 5
    Workout Intensity: 6

    Carry Day

    Jump Rope - 15min

    Farmer's Walk
    210x100'/210x150'/210x50'(resetting weight)/230x150'/230x50'(resetting weight)/280x100'

    Bench Press
    235x7/235x6/235x6/260x3

Ear Pulls (use the rope on low pulley and pull the knobs to your ears)
    80x15/80x12/100x10/100x10/100x10

    Shrugs with Farmer's Implements
172x15/172x15/260x8/(hands were too torn up by this point to continue)

    Tricep Pressdown with Lat Bar
    100x8/100x7/100x7

    Day 12

Slept pretty well last night and was ready to work out (even though I missed breakfast this morning). I'm very excited that I'm making constant gains on the log, which is my weakest event. I've definitely noticed an increase in muscularity. Furthermore, I've had multiple people tell me that my shoulders and arms look bigger for whatever that's worth. Also, my facial hair has been growing faster than normal (which I take to mean I've got an increase in free test). I'm hoping to swing by the health center next week to get some blood work run just to check. I know my normal test range is between 480 and 520 nanograms per liter.

    Day 14

Wow. That testofen is roaring in with a vengeance now. Everything I heard about it was right. My guys are swollen bigger than golf balls; it's rediculous. Strangely, libido isn't really out of control or anything. Anyway, I took my workout light today since I've been seeing some signs of basedowic overtraining (higher RHR, sleep trouble, etc.) and I believe it is related to the heavy volume I put on my legs and back. I got to train with stones for the first time in over a month, and did surprisingly well. As a matter of fact, I realized a flaw in my technique; I was trying to pull the stone up from my lap using my lats and back rather than using my hip to help "heave it up.

I only got 6.5 hours of sleep last night thanks to a bunch of busywork for my Astronomy class. I actually slept through my first alarm this morning (which I've never done), and was exhausted all morning. By the afternoon, though, I was fairly alert and, as has been the tendency lately, my libido was running higher than I would prefer. I'm about to go to bed, and I should get at least 9 hours of sleep tonight so I can get that log press going strong tomorrow!

I forgot to set my alarm last night and ended up getting almost 12 hours of sleep - and missing the first half of a quiz >:[ I think I slept a little too much, though, because I was completely out of the loop today (and even forgot to eat lunch). The workout was decent, but my gains are starting to slow down. The most notable thing I've seen so far on this cycle is that I am a lot happier all the time; which is cool since I am typically apathetic or depressed.

    Day 21

I woke up really late today, and didn't have much time to digest before heading up to Coffee's (gym). Since I'm pretty much fed up with it raining every Saturday, I decided to ignore it and do stones anyway. It was 33 degrees and drizzling, but I still did alright. I tried a new method of training for the atlas stones and instead of dropping the stone after every rep, I just squatted it back down into my lap. I was more exhausted after this stone workout than any one I've done before; I thought my biceps were going to fall off!

Muscle Soreness: bad pain in my left forearm

I woke up feeling great this morning. The workout was pretty good, but I didn't get a PR on the Axel Deadlift. I did do Zercher Squats today and really enjoyed them. Also, my friend Rob is a chiropractor and he adjusted my wrist and the pain disappeared instantly! It felt great.

    Day 26 + Day 27

Yesterday and today were awful. Relationship issues kept me up late on Wednesday, and, since I had a test and two homework sets due on Friday, I couldn't make it to the gym. I'm feeling like a weak lard. Luckily, I finally got to chill and relax tonight, and I'm planning a really hard workout for tomorrow. On a side note, I accidentally took 2 grams of Testofen Wednesday night and Thursday morning, and the libido has been uncomfortably high. It started to level back out today

    Day 28

Since I didn't get to workout on Thrusday, I was definitely ready to get back in the gym. Trying to do Log Press and Stones on the same day may have been okay if I had done the log first, but I did Stones first, and that shot my CNS before I ever got to the log. It was a good workout, though (just look at my pitiful zercher squats at the very end!). Overall a pretty good day.

    Muscle Soreness: none

    Day 29

I got very little sleep last night and just couldn't get fired up at the gym. I started doing the farmer's and could do hardly any weight. So I went and got a cup of coffee and hopped on the treadmill for 25 minutes. Feeling more alert and awake, I went back to work on the farmer's and did a little better. A lot of the trouble came from soreness and instability from the hard stone workout yesterday. My pressing was excellent today, though. I always do military press after the log press, but today, I did it as a primary exercise and got a PR!

    Day 31

Once again, I didn't get much sleep and I couldn't get my mind in the gym. After I failed the 595 twice (my max is 620) and then failed 573, I was so pissed off, I decided to deadlift until my hands were too sore to grip the bar. So that's what I did. I even did some more reps after my callus tore. I proceeded to do good mornings until my hamstrings cramped, even when I bent over with no weight on my back. So even though the workout started out bad, it ended up being pretty good overall.

    Muscle Soreness: glutes
