07-11-2008, 06:57 PM #7you're trying to determine the 'best' bodybuilder?....
I have always thought Serge and Frank Zane (and Reeves)had the best shapes - small joints, good tissue for their size (Zane is small by today's standards, but what shape!!). I vote for Serge due to fullness, balance, etc..
Dieted and on stage, their tissue looks like strands of meat, not sausage bloat.
Dexter J is up there as well.the best body buider of to day, but he will never win the Olympia, because the judges are stupid.
I'm not a fan of size for the sake of it.
Awesome and truly aspirational as well as inspirationalLast edited by warrioe-sage; 07-11-2008 at 07:03 PM.

Serge easily. More aesthetic and full... and Serge has a powerful back. Nearly a perfect physique.
Zane's back is detailed, but lacks the powerful look and grace he shows from the front. That's why I could never really be THAT much of a fan of his physique.Interested in investing in militarizing poultry? I'll take lacking legs before a lacking back anyday, aesthetically speaking. A lacking back I cannot forgive...
Johnnie Jackson, Wolf, Darrem Charles, Armin Scholz, all these guys... the legs may have disadvantages for them placings wise, but aesthetically? Not really to me.Interested in investing in militarizing poultry? Based in our Southernmost continent, no local taxes, no laws to worry about, guaranteed return! PM for further details

I don't mean without legs. Joel Stubbs for example has his physique's appeal really hurt by the missing legs. To my eyes a lacking back is MUCH more obvious.
I just don't feel that well developed but proportionately small legs affect things aesthetically for me (or most non bb'ing fans) - within reason, of course.Interested in investing in militarizing poultry?
