diet
I have been following a very similiar diet as the figure one....
1/2 dry oatmeal with ground flax /cinnamon
6 egg whites with red onion/tomato
4oz chicken fish or tuna
4oz sweet potatos
4oz chicken fish or tuna
2c baby spinach
tomato/red onion
2scoops whey protien
ground flax
Udos oil
4oz chicken fish or tuna
4 oz sweet potato
1c broccoli cauliflower asparagus or green beans
this was put together by a previous figure competitor/ now personal trainer nutritionist.
Its going well but Im really having a hard time with the 6 egg whites...Im to the point of gagging when I eat them
any suggestions on how to cook them or can I substitue whey protein for some of the egg whites?
thanks

I have noticed this too. I guess some people stay away from dairy so they won't eat cottage cheese (although i have heard that the amount of lactose in cottage cheese is minal compared to other dairy sources).
And people are so afraid of red meat too. If you get the right kind (extra lean, grass fed) it is much tastier, and the ground beef is cheaper then chicken breast and has a better nutritional profile with regards to protein and omega 3. Plus it is 96% lean so you aren't getting as much saturated fat with it either.

I was not a fan of red meat before this. I cant stand the texture of ground beef. I only eat steak once in a blue moon...so its not a big deal to me. As far as this being boring, Im the type of person that if you give me too many options I wont follow it. I will be slowly re introducing other foods once I get to my desired weight.
I think the only two things I really miss is cottage cheese and coffee.
I like many others have had a love hate relationship with food all my life and am having to re learn how to eat to feed my body as opposed to just eating.

diet wars
Since I am still 7 months out, it would be best to keep with the fun diet, then whittle it down as I get nearer to the competition. Obviously it has worked so far, I lost another 3 inches within 1 month of being on it. I'm sooo excited to get the abs that I see online though! I don't think I would ever want to leave the mirror again....
Have a great day everyone!
