Today an hour after working out i got in the hot tub with my girlfriend. Is it okay to use a hot tub after working out or is it a bad idea?

i like getting in the hot tub with your girlfriend
seriously though there are loads of studies that state immersing your muscles in hot water after a workout helps remove waste products from your muscle tissue. i always take one straight after doing legs as it seems to speed up recovery.Natural Physique Ascossiation South East Britain lightweight champion

There's nothing wrong with hot tubs as long as you don't have a heart condition, or has been mentioned, are dehydrated. Feeling relaxed is nice. if you can hit the sack after that, even better - for zzz's to start building your muscles.
folks used to hope that a hot tub would help DOMS

but unfortunately it seems the temperature needs to go the other way for that.

Not quite that bad, but I do get your point.
As with any public facility, you need to use caution and common sense.
I knew a guy that would carry his own chemicals and test kit with him on vacation. Me...I just wing it, but I am pretty good about rinsing off before using hot tubs and such (if owners really cared they design their pools so there were hot water rinse stations REAL close to the tubs and pools)

Hot tub afterwards has pros and cons. On one hand cold water works great for reducing inflammation, think of icing your whole body. OTOH hot keeps the blood flowing. Major component is your girlfriend though. NOTHING like sex after training!
If you don't get what you want you didn't want it bad enough
