Has anyone tried this, what are your thoughts on a program set up like this
I've been making good gains on 5/3/1 but I want to throw in DE work For explosiveness for football... I came across a split like this
Monday - Dynamic effort (DE) bench press. Heavier overhead pressing.
Tuesday - Wendler's squat day. Dynamic effort (DE) deadlifts.
Thursday - Wendler's bench press day.
Friday - Wendler's deadlift day. Dynamic effort (DE) squats.
Accessories are similar to Westside weaknesses..

pretty bad idea.
both are training systems designed to be used as a whole. you're trying to pick and choose portions of them as if they were built in vacuums.*Mods/CS will not, nor can they change your username, so don't ask*
*Mods/CS will not, nor can they mass delete your post history, so don't ask*

Made for football players. I ran it for track, got more explosive/stronger.

If you changed the DE day and got rid of the bands/chains and changed it into straight weight speed (70-80%) For sets of 2-3 then it would probably work better. Westside is designed for the equipped lifter and messing around with it in raw lifting and bastardizing it probably won't do you much good.
Team Super Awesome!
There is no such thing as 'strong enough'

If hard work pays off then easy work is worthless.
Take a look at what I did, now imagine what I'm about to do

OP:
While the conjugate method can be just about anything you want, you don't want to bastardize the importance of three disciplines within it. People regularly build a progressive overload aspect into the conjugate method, but you have to be experienced enough to control your volume manually. Bridging the ME and RE disciplines is fine if you know what you're doing, but it certainly becomes something different in the process... closer to a starting strength type template.
