    Strongest Pro Bodybuilder Ever?

Now that Johnnie Jackson has been declared "World's Strongest Bodybuilder", everyone thinks he or Stan Efferding are the 2 strongest in the IFBB. Now, just because Ben White lost the challenge it doesn't mean he should be written off-I think Johnnie would be pretty sore that Ben benches more than him and stated even on the reverse bench press he's stronger than Johnnie.

Firstly, I want to know, why is everybody saying Johnnie will lose?

    Stan efferding:

    821 lbs Squat
    606 Bench
    793 lbs Deadlift

    That's 2221lb total

    Johnnie Jackson:

    Squat (personal best): 825lbs
    523 Bench
    815lb Deadlift

    That's 2163 total

That's really not much of a difference-especially since Johnnie will be going for it this year-he has that drive and mentality

Otherwise, who do you think is the strongest bodybuilder around?

I think it is between these 2:

    Ronnie "The King Coleman"
The following lifts were several years back and while he was carbing down and using less gear for it was nearer contest time and apparently tests are random

Benching with 200lb DUMBBELLS for reps
    495-500lb Bench Press for reps
    800lb Squat 1RM
    800-805lb Deadlift 1RM
    2250-2300lbs Leg Press for reps
Overhead presses with 315lb for 12-15 reps
Overhead Presses with 150-160 lbers for reps
T Bar Rows until the bar bends
Barbell Rows EASILY over 400lbs for REPS
Shrugs with over 700lbs for reps

I think that considering he was losing his carbs and was using less gear precontest, that he could do the above RAW in the off-season. Apparently he did a handful of sets before these max outs too.

2011-2012- RONNIE SHOULD COMPETE TO BECOME THE WORLD'S STRONGEST BODYBUILDER WHO HAS ALSO WON THE MR.OLYMPIA!!!

    The second contender

At age 42,Jack set a world record of 1,033 push-ups in 23 minutes 50 seconds.

At age 43, Jack swam the Golden Gate channel while towing a 2,500 point cabin cruiser. The swift ocean currents turned the one-mile swim into a swimming distance of 6.5 miles.

Aged 45, Jack did 1,000 star jumps and 1,000 chin-ups in 1 hour, 22 minutes.

Aged 60, Jack swam from Alcatraz Island to Fisherman's Wharf. Again he was handcuffed, but this time he was also shackled and towed a 1,000-pound boat.

At age 61,Jack swam the entire length of the Golden Gate Bridge, underwater and handcuffed, but this time he was shackled and towed a 1,000 pound boat.

At 62, to commemorate the "Spirit of 76" United States Bicentennial, Jack swam one mile in Long Beach Harbor. He was handcuffed and shackled, and he towed 13 boats, representing the 13 original colonies, containing a total of 76 people.

JACK'S MOST AWESOME FEAT: At 65,Jack towed 65 boats in Lake Ashinoko near Tokyo, Japan. He was handcuffed and shackled, and the boats were filled with 6,500 pounds of Louisiana Pacific wood pulp.

Aged 66, Jack towed 10 boats in North Miami, Florida. The boats carried 77 people, and he towed them for over one mile in less than one hour.

For his 70th Birthday,Jack fought strong winds and currents as he swam 1.5 miles while towing 70 boats with 70 people (even if it's 70 in total it's impressive for a 70 year old) from the Queen's Way Bridge in the Long Beach Harbor to the Queen Mary.
5x5 is the greatest program ever (well, so far).

    My favourite fighters:

    1. Georges St. Pierre,
    2. Junior Dos Santos,
    3. Brock Lesnar,
    4. Bas Rutten,
    5. Randy Couture
    5. Daniel Cormier

Who cares if he's in the red, who cares if he uses bodyfortress, and he has a valid point about Jackson vs. Efferding. They're both pretty close and anybody can win when they have their showdown. Some of you guys need to chill out.

The only thing you forgot is that Johnnie did this in full equippment in different meets.
Stan Efferding is the strongest raw powerlifter in the U.S. and maybe on earth (just KK matches his greatness). Comparing Johnnie Jackson to Stan Efferding strength wise is just ridiculous. lol at Stan benching almost 100lb more than Johnnie WITH a bench shirt

Edit: Stan has an offical 825lb deadlift, it's not fair to take the deadlift he did with a torn hamstring and without a belt.
This thread is just pointless, comparing a powerlifter and bodybuilder strength wise (yes I know Stan is an IFBB pro) is just stupid. Next time you could bring up Brian Siders and ask if he is stronger than Johnnie.

No. Johnie would be lucky to total in single ply gear what stan totals raw. They are not close... the only thing that is close is jonhies deadlift... and thats only 1/3rd of this discussion.

Yeah all the lifts are in single ply. He benched 523lb with a Katana which easily adds around 40-60lb on your bench (even without being really experienced).
The Squat is also for sure equipped. However, I don't know what he exactly used but a normal squat suit gives you around 80lb.
so there is ~ a 300lb difference between Stan Efferding and Johnnie.
    ....

Edit: Let's say 250lb to be fair, still it's a HUGE difference.

Equipped means knee wraps, bench shirts, squat suits. These items give you more spring off of the bottom and essentially take some of the load. For instance, the bench shirt throws your shoulders forward and provides and elastic spring once you lower the bar and touch your chest therefore making the lift easier. Essentially the same thing goes for the other things mentioned.

Olympic is entirely raw I believe. As far as other powerlifting events, some are raw and some are equipped.

Also agreed. I was a huge fan after 2008 and his placing, but somehow it has been diminished by his fan boys.

    1) It was 800
    2) He used straps + bounced the second.

Still he is easily stronger than Johnnie + the greatest bodybuilder who ever walked on earth.
