    Routine Advice (1,000 Reps)

    cliffs:
    - got arthoscopic surgery the week before xmas eve to repair a torn labrum. havent even stepped into a gym since before maybe 3 months before the surgery due to sheer inability to move without being doped up
    - need a routine to get mass & stregnth back to what they once were
    - not a noob, but would ripptoes be good for a situation like this?
    - reps for good advice

Rippetoes would work great. I think he even says its good for beginners and people who are getting back into lifting due to various injuries.

Madcows would also work well. The first month when youre lifting light would help you get used to lifting again

Id probably only do rippetoes for a month or two and then start back up with your regular routine. By then you should have gained all your lost strength back.

Rippetoes or Madcows 5x5. I think some type of starting strength would be good to work back into. After a few months you could switch it up if you wanted.

i would say start a few weeks with endurance 15+ reps with less sets ( to get ur muscle endurance back ) and then start rippetoes until u feel ur stuck then switch to madcows ....
