    Just wondering...how many of you are actually training to compete in anything? i, personally, do a lot of strength training; but i don't want to be a powerlifter or do any competitions. How many of you guys are actually trying to beat records and hold titles here?

    if i ever feal i look good enough to do a comp i will, or if i feal like doing a pling meet i might if i can be arsed to drive etc. not aiming at anything specific tho, just enjoy the ride and see where it takes me

    Not really intersted in comps, whether strength (i'm pretty weak so) or body wise. Mostly cause they amount of effort that goes into comp prep i couldn't be bother with all that crap. I admire those who do but it's not for me.

    yea i train for bodybuilding (i have competed) and was starting to train more for powerlifting because i wanted to do a meet soon



    and i guess i didnt tear my pec acorrding to the doc...he says i strained it to much..i hurt my shoulder more and i guess thats why i felt a pop..

    Nice lift, bro! However, I think you could pull MUCH more if you bent more at the knees and used more leg-drive; the way you do it it's the back that takes most of the lift, but if your butt is down more at the beginning it brings your Glutes and Hammies into the lift as well.

    Thanks, yeah i know, many many people have told me lol ima work on it tomorrow, as i only dead every friday, i would advice this to any one, best day, as your looking forward to the weekend, and who doesn't love a friday night in the gym be4 going out!

    I squat so i get a green light, such as the 1st rep here, i tend to get higher as the set goes along, the lighter i am the deeper i am, makes sense really.

    Getting 3 or 4 reps changes my day, i am a psychotic ego lifter who looks amazing on a Saturday and fat on a Sunday, the mirror is my best friend and my enemy in one.

    lol its so true, we are now stuck, i know i am at least, i love it though, i know im going to do well if i look forward to something, like now, i cant wait to deadlift tomorrow, going for 450+ can wait
