first make sure you n a calorie surplus and its getting you 1lb a week.

then worry about foods. my grocery list is :

cage free brown eggs, milk of choice, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, blueberries, bananas, cheerios, oats, ezekiel cereal/bread,salmon and tuna in can, apples, wheat english muffins and then w.e i feel like having for a cheat meal.

if you have time to actually cook nice meals make sure you got steak, veggies, chicken breast,brown/white rice,brown/white pasta.

but food choices dont matter to much, i just feel better eating better foods. big thing to worry about it calories and if your getting sufficient carbs/protein in.
