    I CANT FUKING SLEEP damn, someone help

    its 6:33 am.


    I cant fuking sleep, im sick of taking a pill to make me sleep.


    I hate it, i wake up at like 5 in the afternoon. tons of missed calls, and i only have 1 hour to get out and handle things i need to handle.

    plus the sun sets at like 4:30.


    FML, i seriously cant stand this. im not even close to tired.


    what can i do?? i have pills here i could knock myself out but that solves nothing.

    sleep at 9-10pm (srs). I started doing this the past 3-4 days and I get up at 5-6am refreshed and I never get tired during the day. and I get good, fast sleep too.

    dude I'm in your same boat here too but today is actually the latest I've slept in weeks ( I have been waking up at 2 or 3. I hate taking pills or medicine too.

    One thing thats helped me before is to obviously stay up until I fall asleep and I stopped taking naps in the middle of the day.

    Some of my friends thinks its stress but I can't think of anything I'd be stressed about.

    Hope you find something that works, and if you do let me know.

    drink coffee throughout the day. you'll crash this evening and be out for at least a solid 8. i have issues sleeping so if i can't sleep, i pop an ambien. not great at keeping me asleep but it definately knocks me out.

    If its stress/depression/anxiety then maybe talk to a doc about anti-depressents and anti-anxiety medication, especially if your at the last straw and nothing else works. If you know that's the problem then there's your immeadiate solution.

    Pilots and airline hosties often use Melatonin at night to reset a bad sleeping pattern. I've tried it and it does work. It won't solve any underlying problems you you say are troubling you though.

    Do you have SAD (seasonal depression) caused by not enough exposure to sunlight? Have a look into that, can affect sleep.

    There's also specialist sleeping clinics that may help. May cost $$ though. Probably worth making enquires if it's ****ing up your life.

    Personally if I'm up late and can't sleep I just power through the night and next day with coffee, and go to sleep at a normal time the next night. Find it works better to avoid sleep with caffeine, than to try and induce it with sleeping pills, if your having problems with sleeping patterns.

    Ive seriously seen prob 2 hours of sun light in the last month.

    I get out and do sh!t but its always at night, and bad hours + living in seattle = no sun

    Made any changes to your meds? Testing regularly? Could affect your sleep or cause depression.

    If you've got regular apointments with an endocrinaologist mention the problem and see what he/she says.

    meh...I went to sleep at 3 last night and got up at 6, hoping to sleep until about 10 or 11. At least you didn't sleep, it's worse when you only get a few hours.

    I'm popping some tylenol PM's at about 8pm tonight. Melatonin works great when it works. Sometimes I'll actually sleep so good that I'll wake up after 4 hours like I just slept 8. That's just what you don't want. You also get some really ****ed up dreams sometimes. Like really dark totally ****ed up **** you would never think about. Also, lay off the caffeine starting in the afternoon.

    Edit- I wouldn't doubt that I have SAD either. I live in Buffalo and we don't get good weather until May. We've had crap weather for over a week and I haven't been outside during the day much at all. I might go shovel my driveway just get outside even though it's 15 out.....I can also count it as my back day.

    as opposed to not taking a pill (slightly healthier) but not getting as much done, and not being as happy.
