    Questions regarding goodmorning form.

    Okay, I have been following Wendlers 5,3,1, for a few moinths now.In it he says that he has seen more gains by doing deep goodmornings.But then i see on elitefts Dave showing to them basically like you're popping up a deadlift or squat.So which is right?

    I would say both styles are right. There's so many different ways you can do Good Mornings.
    Best lifts
    615sq/450bp/500dl Multi ply
    550sq/400bp/510dl Single ply
    425sq/305bp/485dl Raw

    As long as you keep your arch and load up the glutes, I really don't think it matters that much. I've always thought you should minimize knee bend though...

    But who am I to say, according to Rippetoe, I'm on the border of not having any business performing the movement.

    Do any variant of the good morning that you like; all forms of the exercise are great. Just do em' heavy and with good form.

    i think it's mostly how much flexibility/mobility you have. i can get my upper body about 5 degrees above parallel with the ground. stick your butt as far back as you possibly can with only a slight bend in the knee to keep them from locking, use a low bar position for a mechanical advantage and to naturally take some pressure off the lower back and put it more in the glutes, profit. I don't round my back, seems like it would be a great way to slip a disk otherwise.
    NEW GOAL(s):
    Regain my strength.
    Put on 5 lbs of muscle.
    Gain better overall fitness (strength, endurance, muscle)
