    difference between Phenylalanine and Phenylethylamine(PEA)?

    whats the difference between these two? i noticed that Phenylalanine is cheaper for some reason, i wasn't sure why.

    Phenylalanine is an aromatic amino acid. Phenylethylamine is an aromatic amine. Phenylethylamine is synthesized from phenylalanine via decarboxylation.

    I should probably mention that you probably wont be able to just take phenylalanine and get the same effects as taking phenylethylamine.

    PEA is a neuro-modulator. It affects how your brain handles perception and awareness. It can help you focus and concentrate on something better, like working out. It also gives an overall sense of good feeling. Your bodyweight, and how you handle pills dictate how much to take. I'm about 245, and pills seem to work slow and low for me.. So I take 2-3 caps(1-1.5g), on an empty stomach 45 minutes before lifting, or whenever I want the extra get up..not an extra energy get up, more of a mental get up and go feeling.. Some weight-loss agents add in PEA to make up for the crappy feeling some caloric deficits can bring..

    interesting....i actually didn't find too much on it though. someone said that i might have some fat burning effects, but thats all i really got out of the threads i saw about it.
