Yeah I want to pick up the LS and the Candiru. Not interested in the glowing knives. I already have them in more attractive colors.

does benchmade make a knife with an axis lock and similar to the mini grip but with a full flat grind? love the quick one-handed open and close with my mini grip but I'm not too crazy about my serrated blade

I agree. The Venom green does not appeal to me. I want a stainless Izula

I think I'm going to try the Candiru as an EDC knife when it comes out. Looks like a great little knife.

Yeah I think the Candiru with scales will work great. I use the Izula II for EDC and love it. The Candiru should be even easier to carry.

Anyone have feedback on A.G. Russell knives? Thinking about picking up a "bird & trout knife", its made out of VG10 steel. Is that quality steel?

a couple of knife resellers are doing knife giveaways if you like or subscribe to their page. USA made blade is doing one with a real good chance of winning, bladehq less so. Anyhow thought maybe someone would want a chance at some free merch.

Don't know if anyone is a fan of the esee/dpx hest but its my favorite knife. Its imho the perfect fixed blade EDC knife but I digress. Since i first got it I have been wishing they made a similar but larger version as well and DPX just released several new knives. They aren't made by/with ESEE anymore and I have to look into the warranty before buying but I will most likely get a heft 4.

They released the hest v2, heft 4 and heft 6. Each of the heft come in an 'assault' and woodsman version and i'm leaning toward the latter. The prices are pretty brutal, going to have to look into that and the type of steel they are using as well, its called sleipner tool steel and its hardness rating is a little higher than 1095.

lol you need to stop buying more knives then.

I'm surprised my Seal Pup hasn't rusted yet, I've cut shark steaks with it and cleaned ducks on the edge of the bay and rinsed it with seawater, etc. It's too big for most of my duties but when I'm building a tarp shelter on the island while a big northern is coming in it makes short work of the TONS of freaking rope cuts I end up making (I'm always in a hurry doing that). Also wile just around camp that kydex sheath has a little slot in it so I can cut small rope (paracord sized, etc) without even unsheathing the knife.

I almost bought a seal pup as well but I hate serrations.

Get a stainless 4 for your big tasks and stainless Izula for everything else! I think Youd like Esee, you can really feel the quality in them.

    Mine is not serrated.

I have a birthday coming up in May and need items to stock a list, since I always buy everything I want for myself I always get crap gifts from everyone. Think I'll put those two on the list and see what happens.

What's the feedback on the "Knives of Alaska" brand? They seem to be popular on my local hunting forums.

Great skinning blades. Holds an edge very well. The only thing I dont like is they are kind of one dimentional.

WHen I buy I knife I usually look for a multiple use blade.

anyone know how much this might be worth or how i'd find out how much its worth? its NIB and from about '98. its a buck, number 47/1000

i'd like to sell it and get something a little more useable and a little less collectable.
