took my light machete out for the first time today and that was 60 very well spent dollars, the thing is unstoppable. If you have one and aren't on the esee site there is a guy making custom sheeths for them now, they are 50 bucks which is as much as the machete if you do the KO option but considering you have a lifetime warranty on the machete it doesn't seem that bad in the long run.

I was clearing some brush yesterday and was thinking how much I would like to have one.
Are you talking about Godspeed? I had him make me an IWB sheath for my Esee 4. I like to carry a bigger knife when I go out but I dont like it to be visible. Ill post pics when I get it in."I believe that life isn't worth living if not lived passionately." - Nainoa

yeah saw your post in the shows your pics thread, same guy.
As for the LM I had only ever used a tool store machete previously and was so used to them just knocking stuff around and catching up on brush that I almost threw my arm out with just the factory edge. I'm considering using the junglas to chop down a 60 foot pine in my back yard that has to come down just to see if i can."I'm not like most girls." -most girls

candirus are up for presale and laser strikes are shipping. The lady I buy from is somehow related to the Jeff guy and she sells on ebay and her own apparently. I'll link her store ad you can google her seller name to get the full story, anyhow, shes got by far the best prices on esees.
48 for a skeletonized candiru, another 19 for scales and 140 for the laser strike.
Here is her site, i'm in no way affiliated with her just a fan.

the-knife-connection.com sells the LS for $109 and Candirus for 48 and scales for 17. Free shipping on orders over $40!
I almost wanted a LS til I saw the specs are almost identical to my 4. I like the spear point but that really dosent make it that much better than a 4."I believe that life isn't worth living if not lived passionately." - Nainoa

thats me on the esee site that said i know you btw. how much is he dinging you for the sheath? He offered me one of his light machete sheaths to demo on ******** but I will probably just buy it outright. Gotta sell some junk on ebay first though to offset some of the cost. I was looking at a 4 without the sheath for 76 or 98 with but maybe I'll get one of his and try to work a deal.

got my 4 and the zt350. Both awesome but I was intending the 4 to be a replacement for my 6/RAK and i'm not sure I see that happening. I'm gonna give it a week or two to grow on me but it will most likely be going back up for sale. The folder snaps open nicely, razor sharp and the mechanism feels extremely sturdy. Will have to test that a bit.
edit: saw this on reddit and thought I would share. slightly gory pics of a guy who sliced up his finger with a tenacious while cutting up boxes. Series of pics.

esse 4, black blade micarta handle with kydex sheath and molle locks up for 80 shipped if some regular poster wants it. Feel kind of weird about selling to people on here like doing business with family but its a good deal so i thought I'd offer it before selling on the esee forum.

Honestly I agree with you that its pretty much the perfect knife, the blade is just the right size for frequent use and I can see why its really popular with hunters. The handle is comfortable but I think its that I am so used to my hest and other knives that I feel like I need it to extend well past my palm. I may wind up giving the laser strike a try even though reviews for it outside of the esee forums are luke warm.
