Is P90X not working for you?

From a personal opinion, I think it's overkill to do both at the same time. If you feel that P90X has become too easy then perhaps you haven't been pushing yourself enough.

Now what you could do is mix it up so long as you hit all the necessary muscle groups in any given week, but it seems all that'd do is complicate things. Why not just switch to insanity and see how it goes?

I did both! and i attempted to do both at the same time but if you are pushing yourself with p90x, so that the last 3 reps are killing you it will be hard to do Insanity at night. Insanity also incorporates push ups and of course PLYO. Lets say the first week of p90x you do chest and back, then plyometrics, shoulders and arms yoga then legs and back. Your whole upper will be sore, your quads, hamstrings, "glutes" and back.. Now Insanity also covers those body parts. Level 3 drills are 16 pushups and in about 20 seconds...you triceps are going to be hurting..you need your muscles to recover. My advice Finish p90x then go on with insanity.

I was doing p90x in the Am then running 4-5 miles in the PM..i was 204 went down to 178..I started Insanity at 178 but I only managed to loose 5 pounds, but I was commuting to school, sleeping over at friends house, and drinking Beer and Eating bad...Insanity is great. the first month was too easy, the second month much better. Im going to do it it again "clean" Starting the 3 week of February.

No, P90X is working just fine.. but i heard the cardio in Insanity was intense and i figured sense my main goal is to burn about 20 pounds in the next 2-3 months that it would really help me out... but i guess you guys are right that i should do another round of P90X then move to insanity.. i guess it would be overkill

It depends on your physic and body endurance. I for instance, do insanity, workout a muscle group then run for 3-4 miles (not everyday of course). If you want to lose body fat and inches but at the same time build muscle, I would recommend doing Insanity earlier in the day (after you have had 2-3 meals) and P90x at night after having another 2-3 meals (depends on your body). Hope this helps.
