    injury

lets say someone sprains a muscle in their hamstring. it hurts some when walking for a few days, but with R.I.C.E after 4 days its like new again, would 4 more days of rest be good to go backinto lifting?

I would do lighter weight but higher reps to be sure.

I can't really take off enough time to heal 100% every time I get injured because it happens all the time for me. In the last year I've broken my ankle, dislocated my shoulder, torn something in my other shoulder, sprained my wrist, and pulled a muscle in my thigh. During all these injuries (non weight lifting related btw) I never got weaker or lost size. I was able to maintain and once they healed take off from where I left off. Granted for some of the injuries I was out a bit or had to leave out certain lifts. (Nothing standing when I hurt the ankle...)

Just be sure you are healed when you go back to lifting heavy. If you are experiencing pain doing a certain lift you may wanna dial it back on the weight. Anything is better then nothing, but don't overdo it.
