Are testosterone pills effective?

Hello,

Today I went to a nutrition/gym store and they offerd me a product, forgot the actual name but they said that it contained testosterone. They told me that I would gain 13 pounds of muscle in 1 month if I took these pills. I guess my question is would you recommend these pills? (I'm 25 by the way). I asked them if there were any side effects and they said I might get acne in my back but only if I took them for more than 1 month also they told me that I need to take 1 gallon of water daily with these pills.

OP (Stats: 5'7", 137 lbs) is referring to the probable DS's his local vitamin store carries as "testosterone pills." Clearly he needs to do more research before he jumps into a cycle.

They were most likely trying to sell you a prohormone, and they were not being up front with you about all the very real side effects and consequences. Prohormones = A form of steroids.

They forgot to mention other possible sides :hair growth/loss, liver damage, acne, fatigue, gynoclamastia, libido decrease, endocriene system shut down...

I was going to buy them but first I wanted to research more on it. I told them that I had heard bad things about hormone pills and they told me that this had no hormones but testosterone.

Same thing really, I wouldnt trust them. If they are not going to be up front about what the pill is, I would avoid it and the entire store all together.

Are you sure about the product name? All I find for Thermafire is fat burners.

I'm not 100% sure about the name, they gave me a pamphlet and it had a picture of a fat burner but the design is the same as the bottle they were trying to sell me.

Neither do Prohormones dipsh!t. Unless its 4-ad which converts to test after injestion. They probably just said its test cause they dont know anything themselves or want his $$

I'll go back on Monday and try to get more info on it. I told them that I was umm I guess worried about the product cause I didn't know if it was safe. They told me that it didn't have any major side effects as long as I didn't take it for more than 2 months. After 2 months I should not take it anymore. I needed to take 1 gallon of water daily with the pills. They did assure me that it was not a steroid lol. Oh they told me that if I took it for more than 2 months my nipples would get sensitive or something like that.

No need to start name calling. He stated that they said the pills contained testosterone, which definately rules out a test booster, and could be taken that it was a pill that was creating "artificial" test.

ALso they told me not to do Cardio while on the product if not I would gain less muscle weight.

Oh dont actually consider buying it, or listening to their advice. Cardio is good for you even if you are bulking. No mattter if its a PH(steroid) or just a booster, you dont need it. Your 137lbs man, work on diet and workouts.

Yeah, I guess I just wont buy it. Do you guys any othe suggestions for safe muscle building suppliments? All I take now is Creatine and protein shakes.

thats perfect, eat more if you are working out hard 3-4 days a week and have good routine down. If you arnt gaining, you arnt in a caloric surplus and need more calories.

I went to there site (under construction) but they have a picture of the suppliments they were selling me. Earlier, I had said the name was ThermaFire but I just realizes that they have many suppliments witht the same design but different name. The, have Therma Fire, Iso Fire, and Growin Fire (think thats the one).
