    Single Leg Work

Is single leg work more superior to double leg work? (For example single leg leg extension)

    Or are both needed?

    Many thanks ladiesx

Both are important, but which one is better depends on your circumstances.

I don’t do any single leg machine work. When I think of single leg training, I’m thinking bulgarian split squat, single leg RDL, single leg hip thrust, etc.
    You can't help the hopeless.

I like single leg work for balancing out inequalities, which we all have on some level.

Lunges, ham curls, quad extensions, leg press, bulgarian split squat, calf raises....

I'm doing single leg followed by double leg for the first time and realized that my right leg is a little weaker than my left. I had hip surgery on my right hip in 2005 and STILL there is a little less strength on that side. I'm glad to find out as I can focus now on bringing that imbalance back to normal. You never know what you will find out about your body

I randomly throw in single leg work, but not with every workout.

I try to do both. It helps with lateral strength, it helps me in keeping tabs on my left/right inequality, and basically helps me in terms of full body stability with a rotational component.

Some lifters lift more on single leg work than on double.
