New Gay Thread (Part 4)

The opera was a fair success. It was certainly one of my higher turnouts, but not very profitable. I made my investment back, and enough to pay the bills of the show, and that's pretty much it. The performance was fine. My bass showed up before the curtain, so stress was relieved considerably. And exactly as predicted, he nearly killed both of the numbers in which he participated. My piano skills were not up to the mark either - I was so tired I couldn't concentrate and some *really* bad fingerings popped up in the most unexpected places. Still, the audience laughed a lot and applauded every song. We even took an encore near the end - some in the audience demanded the encore! I got some good photos, but I won't post them here. Just look up "Lindarella's List" on google, and it will eventually come up in the results.

I told my bass the next day that his involvement with the company was terminated. He's too much hassle and expensive, and not worth all the trouble he creates. He had the same ideas, so it was a friendly parting of ways. But happily, my company achieved another success. Now I can finally rest, and give Jessie a little more attention.

Btw, bhujerban, your rosemary peach lemonade went over very well at a gathering. One person made the mistake of chewing on an ice cube, but that added to the afternoon's entertainment.

Jerbs is single again. Before anyone goes pointing fingers and asking how I screwed it up, let me say that neither of us were really feeling it. We both wanted the same thing, but we just didn't see it happening with each other. So we decided to remain friends. I got friend-zoned, lol. Disappointing, surely, but how unfair it would be if we made this commitment and then one of us found someone we'd rather be with! So I'm fine with this.

Oh well, maybe next time it'll be the real thing. Maybe I should take a different approach and enjoy being single?

I too have been crazy busy. I've been going back and forth between New Orleans and Pittsburgh. Hope to find out this week for sure but I'll probably have to move there for work. I'm a little nervous
