New Gay Thread (Part 4)

I really like the whole gym vibe however I'm careful to not gawk. I like being a part of the crew and don't want to be treated differently. My gym is small usually only 4 or 5 at the most and I like that people make me feel included. I think if they knew I was gay that would change.

I don't usually imagine guys naked, shirtless is a big turn on to me.

Ditto. I go to the gym to work out, not to try to get lucky or flirt.

Most of the guys at my gym would beat me into a pulp in a second. Not looking to instigate anything. But F***! There are MIRRORS on every wall, you can't turn away and not see them from whatever angle. But being new, I have to pay attention to what I'm doing. I'm learning proper form, you can't do that if you aren't paying attention to what you're doing. :")

I'm not trying to hide the fact that I'm gay at my gym. I'm just not advertising it either. I could care less what anyone thinks of me being gay. If it comes up I just come right out and say it. I don't "preemptively" come out by broadcasting gay to avoid having to have that personal disclosure (and the potential risks of that disclosure). I just don't care anymore. I'm sure some of them will be bothered by it. I'm sure plenty others won't have an issue at all, this is North Hollywood after all.

It isn't worth the time or the energy for me to worry about this kind of crap. If people react badly, that's their personal issue. I don't have to spend one extra calorie in worry about what somebody else might do.

Anyway... Sucks living in the closet, constantly checking yourself for signs and signals you might be casting to other people. It's draining. FTS! I appreciate you like your gym, I do. I just think it sucks that you have to stay in the closet in order to enjoy something you like. But then again I don't live in Utah. Had family in SLS for a spell, they hated it and were ostracized just because they weren't mormon. I can only imagine what it's like if you're gay.

Oh, sh**... I think I just got an idea for the Utah Gay Tourism Promotional Video.. The Land of 1,000,000 closets! "We cater specifically to the closeted homosexual. Just look at all our amenities!" LOL

It is draining, it's a tough situation because I hate the being in the closet and I hate the thought of moving to some place else. I love living in the country. LA is fine to visit but I can't imagine living there. My work takes me LA a couple of times a year and it's fun to visit Hollywood and all but I'm always glad to be back home.

It's so true and so scary that guy that posted a few days ago that he had come out is from Utah. It is a big deal for him he has a large family 8 kids that are all active in the church. And many grandchildren. You just have no idea how hard it is going to be on him. I'm kind of worried that he hasn't posted

Part of me wants to attend a pride some esle to see if they are different. The pride here is very much a lilith fair. I think it might be a blast. Now to just find a way out of jury duty. I am just now in the position to fly and do more things. I just have 3 more weeks of hell and then looking for some vacation activites.

To be honest, I'm not much into the Pride festivities. I'll take hell for saying this, but some of those people have nothing to be proud about. I go stricktly for the parties. I support the gay community and causes in several ways, but mostly financially.

Market Days in Chicago is, in my opinion, the city's de facto Pride. It's like Pride in June, but less lesbian, less political, and more HOT.

That would be a great experience for you and it is quite affordable to do. Aug. 12-14.

I check out the guys. Sometimes I'm thinking about them naked. Other times I'm just admiring their physique, being a beginner to bodybuilding. I like to watch other guys do their workouts because I like to see what different workouts they do, how they do them, etc.

I have enough tact to not be that obvious, but I'm sure there have been times that I stared too much. For example, when this HOT guy was running around in loose gym shorts and clearly commando. YUM!

I'm also a voyeur. So if a hot guy wants to give me a little show in the showers, I'm not going to object. I can't even count how many times that has happened...

Sadly, my gym only has the one shower stall, so there are no prison shower images to enjoy.. Two if you count the handicapped stall. But that's okay I suppose. I'm not in a position yet where I'd get anyone putting on any kind of show for me. Perhaps in two months, but not right now.

I usually talk to the guys I think are hot, mostly gym talk but at least I get a closer look. I also admire some from a distance cause they are focused on their workouts.

I use to do the shower scene but as an active participant not just as a voyeur. I was very shinny and clean in those days

Wear snug to tight T-shirts with snug fitting jeans/low rise/regular, I like those selvage jeans.
Wear stuff that accents your assets/ does not have to be new, you can find great stuff at the GoodWill/Out of the Closet/Thrift Stores...

when in shorts, wear ankle socks with sneakers. And get some name brand sneakers that have a bit more color/style to them... those look like othopedic grandpa generic white shoes

Howdy boys. Sorry I've been AWOL but work has been a complete bitch for the last two weeks. I always take my personal laptop and have it on my desk, but for the past two weeks I haven't even turned it on. One more week of this madness and then hopefully everything will calm down.

And now for a bit of fun:

I have a new [pet peeve. Pictures of myself on people's face books. It is shocking to realize how many pictures of you are being taken and put into a public form. At least, it seems that way for me. The worse part is I don't remember the pictures being taken.
