First of all, you work in a law firm so let's call it a holiday party. We don't want to marginalize atheists or any non-Christian religions.

But I agree about disliking office parties. I prefer not to fraternize with support staff.

But I enjoy making people uncomfortable by rejecting political correctness! It's all I have!

One of my paralegals came into my office this morning and with the most robotic, unemotional tone and with absolutely zero emotion registering on her face said, "Can you tell how incredibly thrilled I am about the results of my Botox injections?". I looked at her frozen face and said, "Not really." She replied, "Good. Money well spent".

Remember, I gave the folks that report to me gift certificates to a plastic surgery center.
