Talking Post Your Warrior Diet Meal!

I started the warrior diet 3 days ago because it sounded interesting and because when I eat 4-6 meals per day I tend to over shoot my calories. I also noticed myself not being very hungry all day anymore.

Anyways, I realized how much food I'd have to eat at once and thought it'd be cool to see what everyone else eats for their one, large meal.

    12/15/09 Meal:

    1 Box of Spaghetti
    1 Jar of Spaghetti Sauce
1/2 Package of Kraft Fat-Free Cheese
    1.25lbs of 99% Fat-Free Ground Turkey
    1 Tbsp EVOO
    1 Apple
    1 Banana

    Washed down with:
3 Scoops XF Whey in Water
    1 Pepsi Max

This took some work to get down, but I did it! Took about 2 hours.

What do you guys all eat for your warrior diet meal?

today i had 1000 calories worth of protein pancakes with SF maple and chocolate syrups, 12 ounces of chicken breast, 3 cups broccoli, and 3 cups cheerios with FF milk. I have decided to try out the diet recently as well.

Sweet plan dude. On the Xtend though, Layne Norton wrote an article on supplementing with BCAAs. His research suggests that spikes in plasma leucine levels is what triggers anabolism, so sipping Xtend all day would not be as beneficial as taking 2 scoops of Xtend every 2-3 hours or so.

i kind of want to try this diet but for bulking, its how my body naturally likes to eat. i forced it into the 6 meals a day thing when i got into the bb lifestlye, but before that i used to naturally only eat one really big meal. i just dont feel hungry at all in the morning/afternoon.

Depends on how many calories you need to bulk. I'm taking in about 3000kcal right now and it was rough to get the food down, especially eating all clean. If you throw some cookie dough in there (thinking about doing this) it would be easier. Definitely go higher fat, lower carbs.

yea i read the book, and it said you can have a starch meal or a sugar meal, so that would definitely be fair game, especially on a bulk. I am considering getting some dessert a few of the days in place of the potatoes/cereals, and i am on a cut as well lol.

I really don't understand the reason to be on the "warrior" diet? By the sounds of it, some of you are taking the "one meal a day" as seriously as someone who's stuck on the 6-8 meals a day. How about just eating when you're hungry? Not neglecting pre and post workout of course.

Read the Warrior Diet book, and Ori's follow-up book Maximum Muscle, Minimum Fat and it'll make much more sense to you. There are a ton of hormonal and assimilation benefits to eating like this.

If you do this right, within a week or so you'll be HUNGRY at the time you decide to eat at night. It's really hard to describe to someone who isn't doing it, you feel fantastic.

I haven't read up on it extensively, you're right I should. It's an interesting philosophy, I'm always open to different methods to obtaining your goals. For now though, until I further educate myself, I'm going to eat when I'm hungry lol. Whether it's 2 times a day or 7.

I do eat when Im hungry, lol.. it just happens to be after my workout when the sun is going down. I have no problem at all spending my entire day concentrating on other things like school and work as opposed to constantly checking the clock and thinking about my next measly 300 calorie meal..

you cant knock it till you try it

Listen, I'm not saying you have to check the clock waiting for your next meal. You can eat whenever you want, more than once a day. But I won't dispute that what you're doing now is just that, eating when you want.

I sort of explained in my first post, but I'll go more in depth this time. Basically for me, I tend to eat too many calories when I eat 4-6 meals. I always end up getting to my last meal and only having like 200kcal to spend, but I can't just stop there so I have a full 600-800kcal meal. With the warrior diet, I only eat one meal a day. It's much easier for me to stay under 3000kcal this way because eating less is actually easier lol. I'm not sure if it's clear, but it's harder to eat less when you 6 times per day, but it's much easier to eat less when eating 3000kcal in one sitting.

Going to your other point, I completely agree. If not eating all day was complete torture to me I would totally not do it. But, for some reason I'm just not hungry during the day anymore. I think it's because I accidentally didn't eat all day a couple of times and just sort of got used to it.

Keep asking questions man, that's how you learn. I know this diet isn't the easiest to grasp

For sure, man! I actually found the link to the actual article, just so you know I'm not making stuff up

I need to read that book too!

It's is quite peculiar. This is day #4 for me. Basically, during the day (after the morning bathroom visit) I just feel really light, cleansed, and energetic. And then around 6:00 P.M. everyday is when I get hungry and feast! My body is still adjusting, but I can feel my digesting getting better and my stomach getting more used to eating large amounts at one time.

I guess only time will tell, but I'm liking what I feel so far

Hey, whatever helps you with your diet and caloric needs. More power to ya. Personally, I don't even go into counting calories or counting meals. That's just me, I'm not a bodybuilder I train as an athlete.
So on the flip side, wouldn't you agree that the warrior diet isn't the greatest method to gaining weight?

I do agree that it wouldn't be the easiest to do on a bulk, depending on your kcal needs and your appetite. If you are a little guy or have a slow metabolism and only need 2500kcal to bulk and have a good appetite, it should be no problem. But, if you're 235lbs like me, and need 4000-4500kcal to bulk, that could be a problem

    some baked chicken

swiss cheese + goat cheese + 3 cups of arugula greens + a tomato + fish oil

4 eggs, 2 tbsp almond butter, a little red wine

Had 2.3 lbs of Chinese takeout for lunch. I eat a little less clean on my days off.

Also I just started eating like this (one meal/time-frame per day) recently, and I usually do it in the evenings. However, on my days off from work I have a hard time waiting that late since I'm mostly just sitting around the house. So I decided to eat a large lunch, a medium dinner, then back to one meal tomorrow.

This sounds very interesting, and I kindoff want to try this when I start my cut, would this work if you did a keto version of this? Also would pre-workouts destroy this idea?
