    Shoulder Injury

Hey guys, for the last month and a half or so i've been experiencing bad shoulder pains in my left shoulder when I sleep. These pains also come back hardcore when I do any sort of bench press exercise, front raises, and lateral raises (even without weights sometimes i can barely lift my left arm to shoulder level without severe pain). But I can do shoulder presses, and shrugs no problem. I've battled through a "rotator cuff malfunction" with my right shoulder going through physical therapy helped alot with that (although I do get occasional pain still). I was wondering if this sounds like a rotator cuff problem in my left shoulder also, and possibly what kinds of exercises I may be able to do to try to help this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Can't give much advice besides to go see the physical therapist against and have your right shoulder reevaluated. Make sure they evaluate your scapula movement and spine as well, which are often over looked for shoulder injuries (ie scoliosis can influence shoulder stability yet some physical therapists will only prescribe internal and external rotations).

If you want an accurate diagosis, see an ortho.

    If you want a guess:

    1. Where does it hurt (google a pic and mark it)
    2. What articulations hurts?

Past injury history, play any sports, whats your routine look like, how's your posture?

Right off the bat I can tell you that working through pain is a no-no and likely aggravating your condition seriously. STOP doing anything that hurts for now.
