How's my split look? Trying to put on some mass

    Day 1 Chest/Abs
    Day 2 Back
    Day 3 Cardio
    Day 4 Arms/Abs
    Day 5 Shoulders
    Day 6 Cardio

How should I change it, if at all?

My goal is to put on lean mass and minimize fat gain. Would it be a good idea if I replaced the second cardio day with a leg day?

I know legs are important. I hadn't been doing them recently because my previous gym didn't have a squat rack. That's why I said at the beginning of the thread I'm considering taking out a cardio day and putting in legs. Negged for your unnecessary rudeness.

take out the 2 cardio, do legs

dont have a seperate day for arms. How are you gonna have a good shoulder workout if you just blew out your arms the day before. Or when you said arms, did you just mean bicep day?

    1. Push
    2. Legs
    3. Pull
    4. Legs
    5. Push

Shouldn't I have at least 1 cardio day just for overall health and to keep my bodyfat low?

The reason I have a separate day for arms (which includes biceps and triceps) is because I want to have a day that focuses on these muscles. I'm used to doing triceps with chest day but I feel like the triceps workout loses focus and intensity because I'm so tired from the chest exercises. So where would be a good place to put my arm day that wouldn't mess up my shoulder day?

    As it stands now:
    Day 1 Chest/Abs
    Day 2 Back
    Day 3 Cardio
    Day 4 Arms/Abs
    Day 5 Shoulders
    Day 6 Legs

I wouldnt put an arm day in if you are trying to put on mass. I understand what you are saying though. What I do is rotate my what exercise I start with. On a push day, I may start with weighted dips. Ive found that in order for me to put on mass, I must do heavy compound lifts.

keep a cardio day. don't let others tell you what body you want to build. i recall the cardio pulminary system being of some importance.

it seems many here refuse to do cardio because their overall goal is to build muscle mass, and the thinking is that the energy required for cardio will impede that goal. in my thinking, just eat another few hundred calories, and you've taken care of that problem. and those that do cardio don't do it to improve their cardio. they do cardio to lose fat.

add squats, and add deadlifts. you won't regret it.
