Always learning
I had an awesome leg workout today! My friend Stacey showed no mercy. You women are brutal when it comes to legs lol. Not to take anything from the guys, but women are infamous in my opinion when it comes to crafting and detail. I did'nt know that there were that many variations of lunges lol. We did it all.. step ups, jump squats, walking lunges, drifting lunges etc. I always knew how hard women train their legs, but to have the opportunity to train with a female competitor only confirmed my thoughts. I learned alot and cant wait for our next toture session lol.

Daniel, you got to remember that they have more endurance than us, can bear more pain than we can.

Interesting topic
Interestingly enough, there is some research out there showing that women can actually hold isometric muscle contractions longer than men. The researchers and the scientific community at large has precisely zero idea why that is the case. HA! But its yet another area of exercise science that needs more research.
As for lunges: they can be wicked for sure. Not the best choice for creating overload (safety becomes a concern), but when used in some different higher-volume protocols, they are just viscious.

Hey Robert! Long time no talk my friend! You going back to Barbados this year? We are talking about it...that show was a ton of fun.
As for researching that topic...its going to be tricky. It'll involve muscle biopsies and getting people to volunteer for that is like getting people to volunteer for water boarding. HA!

They are the ones giving birth. This fact does not surprise me. Pain tolerance etc.

Hello Sean, yeh long time it is. I would like to go to Barbados but I have not really trained since the show, problem is I have started back just three weeks ago. I know that's not much time but you never know. The Best Of The West show is April 24th again here in Phoenix, so I will be there doing you know what, making life tough.
