    Yes you can vary the meats, salmon is fatty so don't replace with a lean one

    taken from Dave Q&A:
    for lean protein: "chicken (or Turkey, or Tuna, or tilapia, flounder, or cod)"

    for fatty protein meal: "Salmon, Swordfish, or 8oz RED MEAT"

    I'm sure having the cheat meal 1 day earlier or later will be fine
    All posts should be considered in the correct context, especially those in the Misc section.

    that PB is fine

    i actually don't use PB in my shakes since I dont like it so I use Macadamia Nut Oil instead.. the fat is what matters anywayz

    gonna try OxyElite Pro then see how it goes

    Strong noob here but how exactly does Keto help with fat loss vs cutting carbs and a 500 cal deficit? It's all about cals in and cals out right? But I hear you guys say being in ketosis will burn fat first instead of carbs for energy so is that just like the fats you eat or it actually burns bodyfat? and in keto you cant eat any carbs at all?

    yep,

    fat is the energy, and ketones in your body uses body fat to energize the body which in turn burns off fat.

    there is no difference cals in vs. cals out still applies to keto. 500cal deficit will yield similar results in term of fat loss if your doing keto and or doing a higher carb diet with adequate fats and protein.

    For the people that can't really stomach eggs, what have you been replacing the egg meal with?

    Also anyone have any experience with the fat burner Musclepharm Shred Matrix?

    do u have to wait 2 weeks for youre first cheat meal or just 1 week?
    by what i was reading some ppl do 2 weeks to be "safe" others do it in the first week without problems.. I was kindah in the middle since my cheat meal is on a sunday but i started the diet on a friday so I had a week and those three extra days.. the first cheat meal I went up 9lb's the next day, lost all of that plus 1lb for that week, this week i went up 4lb in the cheat so i'll see how this week goes

    by the way, I was hearing a guy at the gym talking about keto so i went in and had a convo about this diet and they told me that Mayo isn't really allowed in keto.. my fatty meal is essentially tuna with mayo so im wondering what's so bad about it lol

    also what does the size on do?
    I'm only using the sizeon as a friend gave it away for free, I'm not sure if it's that beneficial but it gives me an extra 10g of protein and stops me from being hungry during my workouts, lol.

    Good luck with the weigh in, keep focused and you will hit your goal no doubt.
    The great thing about this diet is even when you don't lose significant weight you can still see big changes in the mirror.

    I've waited 2 weeks both times, it's a small price to pay.

    i am overjoyed i am 239 today even though it took a bit longer but a the same time i am happy non the less.

    and i did some tests, it isnt the diet that was making me stall cause ive changed it around 4 times, i figured instead that it was the cheat meal, that for some reason the clean complex cheat meal doesnt help me and actually causes more bloat.... so, i will be doing dirty to the max cheats from now on, cause the complex carb cheats dont seem to do anything to me.

    Nothing wrong with sugar lol, and why wouldn't you be able to use olive oil in your whey shakes?

    You're not eating strictly keto, and following the guidelines set for you by Dave, I wouldn't see why mayo wouldn't be allowed, especially if it makes the diet tolerable for you, specifically. I do the same thing, but take into account the allotted calories/fat from the cashews and supplement the protein by adding a slight amount of tuna.

    For example:
    Mayo(tbsp) -> 90 cals & 10g fat
    cashews (1 serving = 1oz) -> 160 cals & 26g fat+18g carbs+5g protein

    That being said, tuna should not be your fatty meal (assuming you're not adding a 1/2 jar of mayo for 8oz of tuna).

    I make it my fatty meal by adding 2 tbsp's of mayo which comes out to 20g fat and 33g protein for 1 can

    i dont eat the almonds with he fatty meal though i usually just throw in some lettuce and make a mini tuna salad
