Is the magic bullet good (or recommend similar product)?

I need something to make protein shake "smoothies" with a banana ice milk and protein powder. I get sick of typical blenderball shakes after a while. I dont have a use for a huge blender so I was gonna get something specifically for making shakes. Any ideas?

Buy it off ebay or something and its def worth the money(not at full price tho). Plus the cups have screw-on lids so they're perfect for taking shakes with you.

I got a knockoff brand from target for 20 bucks, only complaint is I wish the cups were 20 oz sometimes. Otherwise its pretty amazing and easy to clean as well.

My roommate has one and it is awesome. Never had a clumpy shake after I started using it.

I haven't been all that impressed with mine. Does not do a very good job of blending (ice or fruit) and the cups are too small.

Go to a wlamart or target or something. They have knock offs of it. The one I got was 20 bucks and I have been using it for 2 years with no problems.

I have had the Magic Bullet for a few years now and wouldn't give it up. Mixes everything i want with ease. Excellent product.

This was on my Christmas list this season - good to see the feedback here.
For those who use it daily/often, how does this hold up to repeated use, dishwasher, etc.? Lots of plastic parts, including the "gears" and the rings and everything.

I could see myself using at least a cup a day (or two) to whirr up shakes with frozen blueberries, bananas, strawberries, etc. It's such a PITA as well as a waste to use the big blender if it's just me (I feel like I'm wasting $$$ and food rinsing it all away, esp if I'm adding in a scoop of whey or expensive ingredients... and then again from the cup I used to drink it from...)

I didn't think it was all great, I like to pile on different ingredients in my shakes (bananas oats pb etc..) and it didn't blend all that great. Maybe I got a faulty one, but I rather stick to full size blenders.

I'd go to some outlet stores or a mall and find one you think would work best for you.

Same here. It works well, is easy to clean, and takes up little counter space.

Yup it was $11.88 at the time. I use it like 3x a day. Easy to clean, works well.

My roommates and I (3 total) use it maybe 3-10 times a day depending on how many shakes we make. The only cleaning we do is rinsing the blades and cups under hot water, very easy. If one of us leaves an empty cup out for a while however we throw it into the dishwasher to clean the dried whey off.

This is probably similar to the Hamilton, but i've had it for well over a year. Still works as good as day 1, very strong even with 3 scoops of san infusion with 4 ice cubes and 10 oz water, still mixes and chops/blends it up!

x2 i've had the same one and use it every day to blend ice + other stuff into a protein smoothie. it hasn't failed me yet!

My girl loves her Magic Bullet when I am out of town and won't be taking care of her needs for awhile. Have to replace the batteries every time I come home.

but seriously my shakes wouldn't fit in a magic bullet, here's what i use


the bottem half detaches for easy cleaning. can be stored anywhere, not too pricey. all you need is a cup and your ingredients. best thing for shakes imo

anyone been to tropical smoothie? well i like the way they blend, does any of these blenders chop ice real good so you dont have those big chunks in them when you drink your protein.
