I thought it was a pretty good option but then I read that you should avoid "pre-sweetened" oatmeal packets on an article on the site...What do you guys think, good or bad?

I usually have two packets to start my morning in addition to a protein shake and on some days some bacon or eggs. I don't mind regular oatmeal terribly, but I love this stuff so I'd really like reassurance if possible...

I do not like the list of ingredients.
Look:
WHOLE GRAIN ROLLED OATS, MALTODEXTRIN, SUGAR, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, SALT, CALCIUM CARBONATE, GUAR GUM, OAT FLOUR, SUCRALOSE, NIACINAMIDE*, VITAMIN A PALMITATE, REDUCED IRON, CARAMEL COLOR, PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE*, RIBOFLAVIN*, THIAMIN MONONITRATE*, FOLIC ACID*.
*ONE OF THE B VITAMINS
The second ingrediend. Do you know what it is? I don't.
This is about "maltodextrin": It is a polysaccharide that is used as a food additive. It is produced from starch by partial hydrolysis and is usually found as a creamy-white hygroscopic spraydried powder. Maltodextrin is easily digestible, being absorbed as rapidly as glucose, and might be either moderately sweet or almost flavorless.
Then comes pure sugar, the flavors and then - salt. It is not oatmeal! It is something & condiments with oatmeal. No way you should put it into your body and spend your money on it.Little girls cry... Big girls say "F@ck!".
