    Dimensions for power rack?

Can anyone give me the dimensions of a good power rack? I would like to get the steel to build one and just would like to know the dimensions of a good quality rack.

I want to add a pull-up bar to it and also a lat pulldown.

I want it big enough to do squats, bench, military press, and deadlifts. I am 6ft tall if that matters at all.

Also if anyone has any suggestions or helpful tips for building one I wouldn't mind hearing some.

    Thanks.

I can a little, but I know a couple people that would do a real good job building me one if I had the dimensions. I'm just planning on supplying the materials and having one of them weld it for me.

Thought it might make a pretty good Christmas present for myself.

There are dimensions on a lot of sites that sell them as well as many optional features and things you might want to look into.

    For instance:

    http://www.flexcart.com/members/elit...&m=PD&pid=3235

This one offer band pegs on both the top and bottom. With these you broaden the types and styles of workout you can do.

Others have elaborate pull-up bars so you can do every gip and width known to man.

Heres a nice set of dimensions on a full featured rack.

estimate 48 x 48 just the cage and 84-90 tall, plate storage pins will be narrower than the olympic bar so no worries there

make sure the room is at least 10 feet wide so you don't put holes in the wall taking the plates off

that elite dimension above is WRONG
the rack is about 48 wide (oly bar collar width) THEN add the weight storage, so I'd gues it more like 72" wide
