Any type of stretch after lifting is better than nothing, don't over think about this part, overall training routine/diet is where its at for newbies.

Been doing Extreme Tricep stretch from DC, feels good

Muscle fascia stretching should be done after a good muscle pump from your workout. All fascia stretching is done at the bottom of the negative rep for a good long stretch of 30 seconds to one minute. For example if your doing chest, after your chest workout sets, hold a good long weighted fascia stretch with a chest flye at the bottom. Make sure you don’t lower the weight to the point of pain. You should feel a stretch and it should be tough to hold, but it should not be excessive as it will cause injury.

In theory, what you are doing is, taking advantage of the fact that you are already pumped up like crazy, thus stretching the fascia, and then taking it even further by applying a sustained pressure – by either stretching or contracting for a sustained period of time – thus giving the stubborn muscle fascia no option but to stretch a little.

To oversimplify things, I suppose its like a balloon. Blow it up just once and let it down, and it regains its original form. Keep it inflated for months and deflate it, and its deflated form will have expanded in size.
