A "bench" with the uprights, really a bench press is not suitable for use in a power rack. you have to move it in and out of the rack to use it for squating and other things. You need a plain FID bench.

I actually just ordered their power rack this past week and called them becuase their online dimensions looked weird:

this is what they said they really are:

    50" wide
67 " length with pull down system added to it,
    and 82" in height.

wow a bench that is 48" wide is kinda big, call them and find out ?

Probably not.... That's probably outside dimension...

If 49 is the inside dimension you need to add 2 inches per side to calculate the outside dimension (wide of the square tube. I believe powertec it's made of 2x2 tube. But not sure). For a total of 53 (49+2+2)...

Olympic bar are 52-53 inches wide (beetween collars/bearing). The outside dimension should be a little less than that; otherwise the bar won't fit... In my opinon should be at least 4 inches less than the bar, any wider and you may get problems ''racking'' the weight...

Powertecs made out of just under 2.5" if I remember correctly, 2.35" springs to mind. They aren't going to quote interior dimensions of a rack, it'll be 49-50 outside dimension, which leaves 43-45" inside.
Even if it does fit, putting a full size olympic benchpress in a power rack is going to be a huge pain in the a**.

Powertec racks are 49-50 inches outside. With the lat attachment the depth comes to about 67 inches. The tubing is definately NOT 2x2 but somewhere along 2.5". Just sell the bench for $60 or so and pick up a used FID. Keep what you want.

Could someone do my a huge favor and measure the rear horizontal support beam's height? The vertical pillars are 82" but it looks like the rear support beam is lower. I'm trying to figure out if this thing will fit in my low ceiling basement with the pullup bar inverted. Thanks in advance

    sweet, thanks! rep'ed

i'm thinking this thing will def fit with the pullup bar upside down. the ceiling is 80" but the highest point between the joists is 84" so i could stick the pillars between there and as long as the horizontal beams r less than 80" im all set. nice!
