don't forget you need a good frame for that properly fitted suit to look proper. All those pics of 40's and 50's guys looking sharp have good shoulders, descent tall, no fatties, mature. Small portion of population will have those basics, I assume the misc has the right stuff?

im actually agreein with this guy. Though how you dress is very important, the way you carry yourself, that attitude of confidenceis what will truely make you shine as an individual.

I think that people are trying to follow the style their favorite band or music group portrays.. Its the cool thing to do to have your pants to your knees, with your little wittler hanging out and talk like you have marbles in your mouth. Or wear skinny jeans, make up, black hair, fingernail polish..
Take these pics for example..Google Will Smith and you can hardly find a pic of him not dressing nice unless its from the 80's..Current workout: Dorian Yates Blood and Guts.

I wear suits recreationally.
It is alpha, you feel great.
Some tips.
You can never mix and match shades of black or patterns. A dark black pinstriped jacket will not go with a slightly lighter shade of black for the slacks.
You CAN do this with great effect with greys and tans. For a "leisure" suit I highly suggest this for the versatility. The greys need to be with the greys and the tans with the tans BUT the shade and pattern dont need to match.
You can pick up tan and grey jackets for 60-130 bucks a pop on sale at places like Macy's and Dillards. If need be get them tailored, its only 20-30 bucks. If your total investment is 100$ for a good jacket that fits you like a glove its worth it.
Slacks are easier. Black slacks can match up to grey tweed any day of the week. Hats must match SLACKS not jackets. Grey tweed jacket, black fedora and slacks, black tie, alpha as ****.
Hounds-tooth with a grey slack? sure.
Grey jacket with tan slack...NEVER.
a Three peice suit must always match. You dont HAVE to, but really you do. Its one of those things that can veiwed as "edgey" but really your just a douche.
Shirts:
I never spend a lot on shirts, you can get good fitted dress shirts for 20 bucks a peice everywhere. Even JC penny's stuff looks good. Same with cuff links. 20$ is more than enough for cuff links.
Jewlery:
One silver watch, never gold. Gold just looks awful with a suit.
Shoes, black goes with greys and blacks, dark brown for tans and creams, Belt must match.
That easy.

This tread was awesome, definately got me thinking. I may not wear suits full time but a dress shirt and slacks are not difficult to pull off. Just watch the Ocean's movies if you want to see modern men looking pusser! Most people on this site spend so much time working on thier bodies we should all take more time dressing it up. I hope that this keeps going and insprires others, we need to take back the streets and class up the world, the kids need to see positive well dressed MALE role modles that take care of themselves in the gym and at the dinner table. Good luck all, I am in!
PS,
Tailoring is key......
