Question better abs for skinny guys

so im a decently skinny guy, 153 lbs, 8% bodyfat. because of my avid golfing i found the trunk rotation and core work (as well as soccer but not as much) and general skinniness led me to getting a 6 pack without much work (its my abs are more defined on the left side because i swing righty). i have continued to make my abs more defined, not by cutting fat but by slowly bulking, which is how we ectomorphs have to do it. my main question is how to get an 8 pack/a better 6 pack at this point, i know what exercises to do but i find it hard to find a weight where i can do only 8 reps of an exercise. i recently tried crunches with 60 pounds of weight held in front by my arms(practically more a workout for my arms and shoulders than my abs) but i did 3 sets of 25, thats nothing near the 8-12 reps needed for proper hypertrophy, any suggestions on how to train my abs more effectively?

side plank rotations - add in holds if need be.
hanging knee/leg raises - add a dumbbell weight in between your feet if need be.

i already do hanging knee raises with 15pound medicine balls between the knees, thats the heaviest my gym has and the reps range in the 20s...(unless you could go a lot heavier with dumbbells between the feet?)

while increasing size everywhere your abs will grow too. Deadlifts will build them up, along with other compounds.
