    Squat....bar position

so I have been squatting 3 days per week the last 4 weeks and have seen some great gains. I have recently read a few times on this board about bar position on the squat....specifically "low bar position". What does this mean. Can anyone explain the difference in "low bar position" and standard bar position. What are the benefits of one vs the other?
