High cholesterol, doc says test boosters migh be a factor

Just got my cholesterol results in today- 250. Dun dun dun. The doc says the test booster I'm taking might be a factor ( novodex xt). Any thoughts on this? I'm young and in great physical shape so this kind of caught me by surprise.

Edit: if this is not the right area for this tell me and I'll move it to supplements or something.

I would move it to supplements. but I can help a little. I was on XT when I had blood work done but my levels were not near as high. This could be raising it but not enough alone. Something else about your lifestyle/genetics/ or diet is affecting it.

thanks man. Ya both my parents have high cholesterol/triglycerides so I know there's a lot more going on here. I'm cutting back even more on the ****ty foods and upping my intake of flak seed. I'll probly eat some oatmeal in the mornings and do more cardio. But I know the doc is gonna tell me to not take test boosters and ease up on the red meat, both of which I'm a big fan of. I'm womdering if I can skip the last part and still lower my cholesterol other ways.

My doctor didn't even tell me to stop taking the XT and she knew about it. My triglycerides were higher as well but then again so are my dads. I got my work done when I had just changed my diet so i don't know of that has helped. I started doing cardio as well. If its within your budget, Walmart has a blood reader that does Choleserol (both) and triglycerides. The reader is around $80 and then you buy the test strips seperate. 3 of one test is like $11. You prick your finger and insert it.

    My readings on XT:

    Total: 185
    HDL: 26
    Tri: 430

    Just my two cents.

Novadex XT shot my cholesterol through the roof. I was also taking some Natural T- Boosters as well (i>e Deisel)

Back in July when I was much heavier (40lbs)
Total Cholesterol was 220 Triglycerides were 264 LDL-134 and HDL-33 not bad for me.
    Family's history very high.

Current; taken only 13 days after cycle of T-boosters with exception of XT (Xt stopped 29 days before that) plus weight loss.

    Total-299 Tri-762 LDL- cannot compute it HDL-36

Seeing the Doc on Wednesday. Dang.

interesting, maybe there is some connection after all. Keep me updated on the results. How do you know it was the xt that increased your cholesterol?

Mine was 258 total and thats bad 28 good but that was months ago. I got mine checked again but havent seen the doc yet but i figure its lower. It should be lower yet after this diet im on till at least march. The scary thing is I was considering novadex xt but no way thats happening now thanks for sharing. Also numbers as high as 250 are nothing to play around with make sure you get that score lower and stop the test boosters. Remember first and foremost good health is why we do what we do.
