We didn't watch the drawing, so when I read the numbers the next day and saw that we didn't have a single power ball number on 14 tickets I knew lol. Didn't win a single buck of it but won $50 off a $2 scratcher
Jim going back to work is a relief indeed! Once we get caught up we can actually start buying stuff for the baby, which was really bothering us. It's like every time we get into a position to actually start saving something happens to derail it
I'm with you on the spending money on games, I try to find them used or as cheap as possible. Unless its a game that both hubs and I really want like Assassins Creed III or Boarder Lands 2. Did I ever mention that our Xbox broke with the red ring of death and Jim fixed it? A few months ago we got three red lights and at first we were like "Really? We need to replace this?!" We went online and found a tutorial on how to fix it and after going to the electronics store, buying some screwdrivers and thermal paste we had a perfectly working Xbox for under $20.
Turkey pics will be found below My mother basted our turkeys in wine since I was little and compared to others peoples turkey, other than deep fried, (I sh!t you not fried turkey is awesome!) its not as good. It has to be a light fruity wine like rose', blush, white zinfandel or white merlot. The gravy that is produced by the cooked down wine, butter and turkey juices is sooo savory you wanna drink it, probably not a good idea but I've been tempted lol.
Thanks Lori! That's awesome about Stephens position being extended! Things are looking up and better for everyone
Yep, he is now little Liam
Awe thanks Swoosh! I think I don't look to bad for 171lbs, its all belly and bewbs lol.
As promised pics of my master basted turkey! I was able to get one shot before hubby tore off half of the skin and ate it. I had to hide some so I could have it too lol.

Now onto the baby update. Went in for sonogram measuring yesterday and everything is looking good and he is still a boy I was up 3lbs according to their scale but the Dr wasn't too concerned seeings that the baby is weighing and measuring a week ahead at 3.9lbs. If this continues I will have a big baby Liam apparently loves to have his hands in his face but they got a really good shot of him
I need to go get some vaccinations next time, a tetanus, pertussis and they still want me to get the flu shot. I don't want the flu shot, because knowing my unlucky ass I will get sick.Last edited by Echo814; 11-30-2012 at 10:34 AM.

So far the tummies doing good, no stretch marks yet but I am getting that dark line that starts at the belly button and goes down to the pubic area. I've been moisturizing with a lotion that has collagen elastin and will start with the Shea butter now that I have that line. Oh and no ab separation as of yet, she thinks that if it hasn't popped up yet I may not get itIf this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

Look at that little cutie pie face!!! Love the final name selection - Liam is perfect!
Turkey and stuffing = OMG yummmmm.... and here I was enjoying my turkey on salad with peppercorn parm dressing thinking it was the best lunchtime usage of leftover turkey within my calorie budget - now I want to go buy some Stove Top just to have turkey and stuffing for dinner haha!! Oh - and I've never had the wine-basted turkey, might have to try that on the next one!!
I think you did tell me about fixing the Xbox once. Our old one went through several fixes - once we actually shipped it out and had MS fix it, later a friend fixed it for us, then it broke again several months later and when they tried to fix it it still didn't work so we chucked it in frustration! Hopefully this newer one will not have so many problems!!Please join me on my journey to find balance:

Hub's family has yet to produce an ugly kid He's will be named after both of our fathers Liam is the Irish/Gaelic form of William which is Jim's dads name and his middle name is Richard after mine
The stuffing we made is combination of our mothers recipes and it turned out so good! Not the healthiest stuffing but worth it: breakfast sausage, pureed gizzard liver and heart (kinda weird but it tastes real good) chopped onion. carrot, celery, mushroom and fresh parsley mixed into Mrs. Cubbisons stuffing. If you are curious you can try basting roasted chicken or Cornish game hens in wine to see if you like the flavor but its best on turkey.
Ugh, I would have chucked the thing too! The new ones don't seem to have any issues with the cursed red ring of death. We really don't want to have to buy a new one since the next line of consuls might be out as soon as December of next year. We are eagerly anticipating the new Dragon Age game, its slated to be released next year and they are saying current gaming systems can't handle it so I'm think the Xbox 720 and PS4 is right around the corner. If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

PS4! I just re-bought my PS3 2 years ago Stupid systems breaking. Andrew's on his second x-box and this one froze up on him and started blinking a few days ago. Hopefully the new ones won't be so stupid and work properly!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

I'm really surprised since I'm mostly belly, though I am noticing some extra fat on my arms and back Oh well, more incentive to tighten up the diet
I say try the wine and not tell him, but I'm evil and trick Jim into eating things without telling him. It's funny if I tell him what I put in the food he turns his nose up at it, but if I wait till after he usually comments on how tasty it was Silly men.
So far (knock on wood) it's only been the Xbox, the PS3 is working awesome still. I think Xbox got a little to ambitious when they released the 360, they knew there were issues but still put it on the market anyway. Sony was smart and waited till the product was a bit more stable before releasing it, plus the Blue Ray added feature was nice. I think the PS1 and 2 ant the original Xbox have far better durability.
Thanks! We are pretty happy with the name, the sad thing is I really liked the name Cullen but then Twilight had to come around and now its one of the top male names. So Liam will do I talked to my mom and she said that line faded close to a year postpartum, so I am hoping that is true. That's great you only got one stretch mark! SO far I haven't had any but I still have over two months to go so we shall see.
I'm happy things are looking up, its about time we stopped stressing lol.
I am putting it on record here; I am not eating pizza ever again! Had some last night and spent the whole night with horrible heart burn, still have a little lingering right now
I will have a workout partner, well hopefully if hubby doesn't make excuses again. He gained some weight over the month that he was laid off. All he did was sit and play video games while eating. Not a good combination if you don't want to gain weight. We will see how long this lasts, last time he lost 10lbs and stopped even though he wanted to lose another 20. I will catch up to everyones journal in a little bit, have to do some house work and run to the bank.If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

I may try that! Stephen is pretty brave about these things- but one thing he doesn't like is alcohol in food. Even if I tell him he won't taste it he'll be skeptical! So I'll have to be sneaky. Haha!
Awww, stupid Twilight Liam is still an awesome name though
Pizza is awful for heartburn! I wish I could commit to not eating it evert again- but it's my favourite Hahaha! Oh dear.
Hope your hubby decides to workout with you! Having a partner working out with you is great because they workout even when you don't want to and then you have to. Haha!Team Cookies Give You Superpowers

Too bad there are no Kyles in either family to name him after, hubby was pretty insistent on that lol.
I think he will be a cute baby, at least I hope so. I'm one of those honest people and yes ugly babies do exist , not to be mean but it does happen.
Being pregnant is an experience as in one that if given the choice I probably would not do again. It's a mind fuk, I have a ton of body image issues stemming from when I was a teenager and being this big messes with my head a lot. I don't share my feelings with many people because I get lectured on how selfish I am to feel that way and now that I'm pregnant I don't have the right. I have more good days than bad lately but its still there haunting me in the voice of a guy that I really liked that once told me he would go out with me if I was 20lbs lighter.
Things that are making it worth it are feeling him move, its creepy in a way but really cool and knowing that I have the chance to mold a pretty cool little human being. I'm more tired now though, things like cleaning the house make it to where I need to sit down after a bit and rest for 10 minutes and go back at it. Sleep is not so good and I can't wait to sleep on my back and stomach again, having two positions in which to get comfortable is annoying.
I haven't had any strange people try to touch me, yet. I think with my tattoos and piercing it may scare a lot of them off Honestly I can't stand people I don't know touching me, I never liked being touched ever since I was a child and only like my husband and a couple of close friends touching me.
Once the alcohol cooks out it leaves flavor not an alcohol taste Some people like and some don't so its hard to say lol.
We really like the name so all is well. If it was a girl we would have gone with Aislinn but we would have spelled it Acelyn.
I will see if I can eat it again after I'm not preggers anymore, I got heart burn from a bloody hamburger of all things last night. For now I think I will stick with grilled meats, rice veggies, PB, Greek yogurt and cheese.
Jim got moved to 10 hour days as of today, guess who's using it as an excuse to not workout I'm sitting here waiting for the maintenance people to come and fix our air conditioner. The stupid thing is leaking onto the floor due the condensate drain being plugged. I have never had refrigerated air conditioning units do this until now, we called last night and some jack weed that can't speak English rambled on about keeping it at like 80 degrees, umm no thank you, I'm seven months pregnant and I feel like a faurking furnace half the time. So instead of getting to go workout and then taking a shower like I want to so I can go grocery shopping, I'm sitting here waiting. If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

Awww - I don't blame you. Shoot I was half looking for an excuse to not go to the gym again today I'm feeling so lazy and I'm not even pregnant!
It's totally normal to have issues with your body when you are pregnant, especially when you are like "holy crap I still have a while to go and I'm only getting bigger!!!" It's tough. Since I had both of my kids in the winter time I was always wearing winter clothes and boots that just added more weight when I had to weigh in at the docs office. I'm not going to lie - those last few appointments were really tough to step on the scale... Then I'd stare at my huge bewbs and feel like a freak of nature. I'll never forget when my husband had to leave the room laughing after I had my daughter and he saw me feeding her. My bewb was literally twice the size of her head they had gotten so big. He felt so bad about laughing but seriously, it's crazy when something completely natural looks so unnatural!
The good news - I lost all of my weight in about 4 months, ran my first marathon 6 months after having my daughter, and never felt better. If I can bring it back around without the muscle underneath that you have - just think of how amazing you are going to be! It's all a natural part of the experience, crazy hormones, huge boobage, blah blah blah - those babies are so worth the temporary fat rolls
Heartburn sucks! The sleeping thing sucks too. I ended up sleeping on a whole nest of pillows and eventually slept mostly in a recliner the last month. The bonus part of sleeping in the recliner - there is always a Law and Order on somewhere if you can't sleep haha
PS - Eff that guy that said he'd go out with you if you were 20 lbs lighter. I hope you see him again some day, see that he is fat, and punch him in his fat grill. Then the voice you will hear in your head when you think of him is him crying out in pain begging you not to punch him in his fat grill again. Wow little devil on my shoulder, nice of you to come out to play today...Please join me on my journey to find balance:

Wow, I admire your candor about pregnancy. One of the reasons I didn't want to have kids is because I was afraid my baby would be ugly. That reasoning was only ~2% of the rational.
So do you suppose that if you LiLo-slapped a stranger for touching your belly would be considered an assault? I don't think so. You probably have like diplomatic-pregnancy immunity when it comes to LiLo-slapping strangers who touch your belly. Being pregnant finally has slaptastic benefits! (Not that I condone slapping people, but strangers better not be touching da belly. My post just got weird, didn't it? )~TEAM AMAZON~ Sisterhood of Iron

Hai!
^^ About this. I was talking to my sister today... she's breast-feeding mister Micah, and she said she has never eaten so much in her life as she is right now. And she is losing weight DAILY. She was 120 when she got pregnant. One week post-partum, she is 125. Are you planning to breast-feed? That seems to be the answer! Haha Maybe you already said one way or the other, and I missed it... Sorry, if that's the case!!
Anyways. My sister has no muscle, so she'll just go back to being her normal skinny self. As MM said - imagine how great you're gonna look with that muscle base you already have!!
Wow little devil on my shoulder, nice of you to come out to play today...
This. While I have always wanted babies, I don't judge people who DON'T want babies. I don't understand it, but I don't judge. To each their own! Just the fact that you are able to come out and be so honest about how you're feeling about this experience is wonderful. It makes me respect you even more.
Also - Liam is a great name. That sonogram photo is amazing! Crazy what technology can do these days.
Last - but certainly not least - those photos of turkey dinner made me drool. Seriously. I want turkey dinner now.My Journal - Large, But Not in Charge: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=128025573

Is your name Kyle?
Hey Erica Liam is a great name! Names are tough. You have to make sure they can't be turned into a weird nickname, go good with your last names, doesn't spell anything strange when you put all of the initials together (like "FUK" hehehehe!). I always really loved being pregnant ... although I was hot as hellz all the time, even with my two winter babies. I couldn't stand when total strangers came up to touch the giant belly .... no, no, no ... personal space invasion ...and the tell you the most God awful stories about their 3rd cousin's 8 day labor ... blah, blah, blah. At least the maternity clothes are cute now. I don't think they could have made the maternity clothes in my time any uglier ...srs!Caring about what people think of you is useless. Most people don't even know what they think of themselves.

Echo, I think you said you wanted to breastfeed correct? Let me say it is AWESOME! I formula fed my 1st and I had the preggo belly for several months. It was gone within a week with my 2nd breastfed baby (you can actually feel the contractions shrinking it when you feed!!!).
I also found this awesome nutritional list for inspiration!

What is it with the bewbs!? I need to go buy new bras, my cup runeth over and its annoying lol. Sorry but the visual you painted with the tiny head and huge boob is priceless! Jim would do the same thing no doubt!
I don't have the excuse of winter clothes making me weigh more, its been in the high 70's and 80 degrees so I weigh in with shorts and a tank top. I really wanted to be a lot smaller before getting pregnant but it is what it is The heart burn is getting to the point were I might start taking Prilosec, next week I'm going to ask my OB if its ok since it keeps me up all night when I get it.
Ugly babies should be a concern, but for the most part they grow out of it lol.
I don't see the point in sugar coating something. Some woman genuinely love being pregnant and more power to them but man its not something that I like. I could've had worse pregnancy but having pain all the time, heart burn, problems sleeping and fatigue... all I have to say is he better be worth it
If I ever ended up slapping someone I would imagine it like this
My inner anime geek has officially come out
I hope the weight drops that quick, she is probably losing water weight along with that. She must have not gained a bunch of weight during her pregnancy, which is a good thing
If I ever run into him I will lol. It's been years though so I have no idea where he is.
I've always been on the fence about having kids. My ex really mind fuked me on them since he had a son and for years was so paranoid about getting me pregnant and so against having more he kinda warped my view on it too.
I love the sonogram pics, you can see so much now its amazing! Turkey is not just for holidays, I'm thinking of making another one!If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

How'ed you guess
We were very careful of that like how Asher could be turned into Asser ect. Kids can be so cruel. When I worked at T-Mobile I talked to a guy name Fuk Dong Long, srs, that was his name.
I hear ya on being hot, when the air conditioner started leaking and he said to keep it at 80 I was no fuking way is that happening! If our windows didn't face the main road into the complex I would have them open letting in the lovely 50ish degree air at night.
I haven't gotten many horror stories yet but my poor sister had some of the worst deliveries and her last pregnancy was bad. Nephew tried coming early at 6 months ended up staying in for an extra 2 weeks and polluted the womb and almost died from it his shoulder also got caught under the anterior pelvic bone so she had a nurse on top of her trying to dislodge it.
There are a lot of cute clothes but they are expensive brb over $70 for an outfit I will be able to wear for all of three months.
It's not the first but the first where we can see his face clearly
I do plan on breast feeding, for as long as I can but I may have to go back to work after 6 weeks :/ It's encouraging to hear that you are having such success with it! I read that breastfeeding releases a hormone that helps the uterus shrink back or something like that.
Man, I knew formula lacked a lot of things but wow never saw it outlined like that! Thank you!If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.

I have decided that due to the increase in heartburn over the last week and subsequent lack of sleep, that I shall no longer eat. In conjunction with not eating I will limit water consumption too, since this apparently innocuous liquid causes heartburn as well. Grumpy preggo woman mode has been initiated.
Oh, and my cats have gone all nutty like and like opening and closing cabinient doors when I finally get to sleep. I feel that they have turned to the darkside, maybe because they offered catnip and tuna.

Aww poor girlie No sleep + stress = heart burn Everything = heartburn Are TUMS baby friendly??? What about baking soda + water? What about ENO??? Sometimes that stuff can help. Sometimes acid reflux/heartburn is caused by your body's PH level being more acidic than alkaline- there are things that help shift the balance! Bananas, Apple cider vinegar, chamomile tea, ginger, Aloe Vera juice......

I'm maxed out on how many Tums I can take, it helps for little bit but not long enough for me to go to sleep. They told me to try Gavison and now luck there, it made my tongue numb for 5 minutes and that was it. Can't do baking soda and water, never heard of ENO (will ask Dr about it next week along with the apple cider vinegar and alow vera juice). I'm about ready to say eff in go on Zantac or Prilosec.
Whats blowing my mind is the water thing, but considering that when anything drops down into the stomach is triggers the production of acid and with him getting bigger my stomach is getting shoved further up into my chest cavity. If this were easy, everyone would walk around ripped.
