    I'm 6'3 150, how much weight will I need to gain before I look normal?

    i'm 16. 6'3 and 150. very skinny. i was just wondering how much weight i need to gain before i get to the point where i just look average/thin(not ripped but not a pole). i reallly hate looking like i'm anorexic. i'm on rippetoe ss right now and i've gained 10 pounds in 2 months. i think i'm going at a pretty decent pace.

    id say maybe 165 170 it also depends on your figure but the average is 165 `170

    Well I'm 6'2-6'3, 190-195 lbs, and have a pretty good build, but sometimes I look (or think I look) skinny when I look in the mirror. My arms aren't too big either.

    yeah when i started i was 150 lbs and 6'4 i always got commented on how skinny i was it was gross but after a year i gained 30 lbs so now im at 180, im still thin but at least i can take my shirt off and not feel embarassed

    Go find a body mass index calculator and then type in your height and weight, then play with the weight number. If you are fairly lean you will probably start to "look normal" at about 22. If your the average bodyfat type then you start looking normal at about 20.

    Most of us on the forums will have a BMI that may put us on borderline overweight, but it is only because muscle is far more dense than bodyfat, and you will still appear to be thin or normal even as you go past 25.

    6'3 220 is normal,225 looks like you went to a gym once, anything above that and your getitng there. 260lb+ and shredded and you will be approaching bear status.

    Go have a look at my progress pictures in my bodyspace... I have pics from 137 lbs to 210 lbs. Everyone has their own view of what's ?onsidered normal... personally I still view myself as skinny even though I've gained almost 60 lbs..

    No thats not a load at all. 200 would be good for a starting point of 6'3. And i'm pretty sure that 170-180 would look very thin on a 6'3 person. it would even look skinny on me and 'im 5'11:S
