Partial bicep tear repair surgery

Has anyone undergone this procedure? If so I have just a few questions I would LOVE to have answered since this procedure may be in my near future.

How long was your recovery time?

Did you have pain before the operation? If so did that pain go away after your recovery period?

Did you notice an improvement in mobility and such after your surgery?

Any other things you feel important to add in please do. (Note for everyone about to say "go see a doctor" I've seen 3 and was left with the options of don't work out, live with the pain, or get surgery and have asked them the appropriate questions. I'm just looking for someone else who has had this done before.)
