Just a general review of BCAA's since I started using them last month.
I'd used BCAA tabs from SAN a couple years ago, but was using a 5 gram dosage. I found they helped with recovery and keeping muscle while cutting, but never went to higher dosages due to costs and the inconvenience of taking huge pills.
I picked up a container of BCAA's for pretty cheap and decided to replace the Whey in my pre-workout shake with 15 grams of BCAA's. And I was floored by the results.
The improvement on DOMS is absolutely huge! Some days I workout and have no muscle soreness, and for leg days I find that it cuts at least 1-2 days off the soreness. And muscle gains have been coming quicker as well.
The only problem I have run into so far is that I am able to work bodyparts more frequently, but my joints/tendons/etc are still sore and recovering. This leads to me getting into the gym, starting to workout, and realizing that it's gonna be a disappointing workout.
I can't believe I neglected these for so long. If you've tried BCAA's at lower dosage and were disappointed, I urge you to try again at 10+grams. See if you can find a "Sweet Spot". And if you've never tried BCAA's, I urge you to.
