$409. I've been looking for one for months and all the ones on gun broker are trying to rape people. www.shooterjax.com has them in stock for now. I must have called 20 stores in MD and the only place that had one was selling them for $489.
Thing that sucks is I have to do the FFL dealer transfer so that's another $25 but oh well. I'd rather have it now to use over the winter than wait till it gets cheap. I don't think that will happen any time soon since they are getting good reviews and in high demand.

nice. they are supposed to be accurate and reliable. best thing about them is the bolt catch works like a real AR. first thing id get is about 5 mags and maybe a shorter one if they make them for benchrest

Yea but I'm not allowed to carry loaded mags in my car in MD so there is no point in having that many. They are strict as hell here. I usually don't care about pointless laws like that but I don't wan them to take away my rights over it.

fun to shoot but promise me you wont put lights or lasers on it, they just aren't practical on a 22. A guy had one at the range the other day and it shot very well but looked rediculous with all the extras

No lights but i might do the laser hehe. What is wrong with that? I saw a real sniper and his spotter at the range and they were shooting through a speed sensor with all kinds of lasers, taking notes, 2 spotting scopes. I don't think a laser is overboard by any means. This is all for fun so I'm gonna have some.
**** I have 4 rails I have to put something on there right?

This. I've put about 5,000 round through my 10/22 since I bought it in '04 and never had a jam or cycling problem. Great gun and very accurate for the price.

I agree on the never sell a gun thing. Just buy another if it's better suited for a purpose than what you currently have (or you just want another toy). I'd also like a review once you get in some range time. As far as what to put on it that's your call. I'd leave it stock because it looks nice that way.

It's going to be after Christmas. Well the day of or after at the latest . GF paid a big chunk of it and my old man always gives me a few bucks so I ordered it early because I KNOW they aren't going to be around after the holidays. I told her to hold onto it when it comes in because I want something cool to open Christmas day.
I paid for it yesterday and my FFL dealer emailed this afternoon and said he faxed his license to them so it should ship out any time.

Isn't there kits for the 10/22 to give it the tactical look?
Also what what is it about the bolt working like a AR-15 that makes this one good? I'm a noob to rifles. I own a 9mm and a shotgun. Never a rifle.
I want to set mine up just like this. I might get the handle that turns into a little stand but it's expensive.

I have a Marlin tube fed that will do 1/2" groups at 50 meters and holds 18 rounds. It has never malfunctioned. It cost me 60 clams. That additional 380 smackers would earn something like 40,000+ over the lifetime of a normal IRA.
Nice weapon. Really cool. Going to hunt squirrels with it?

Yes they do make tactical kits for the 10/22, i just prefer the ergonomics of the ar. I like the safety, mag release, bolt catch, ect...(i dont care for the charging handle..).
I dont really understand your second question. I dont know but i doubt its gas operated like an AR....other than that i dont have a clue as to what you are referring to.

Na. Just use it at the range or fields to plink or hit some paper. I always liked AR-15's and wanted one but couldn't justify the cost of the weapon and then thinking about the price of ammo I probably would never shoot it. I just wanted it for the bad ass factor so this was perfect. Have a cool looking gun that costs nothing to shoot. Basically my fun gun that I can let anyone shoot without intimidation of noise or recoil.
Next will be a 1911 .45 of some sort. I want it bright and shiny. Maybe Springfield.

You could build an AR for about 700-800...

$600 USD, the 4 barrel combo kit is a lot more though.

Like I said then I would probably not shoot it as much because the expense of the rounds. I have friends with ARs I can shoot if I want.

damn thats cheap!
The 4 barrel kit would be hard to get in the UK, you have to justify a need for each calibre before you're granted it, and theres not alot you can do with .17 mach 2 that you cant with .22LR. Same with .17HMR and .22WMR really.

you can get a conversion bolt that drops in and it will shoot .22. or you can get a whole upper for about 500.
what i was talking about with the bolt catch (the paddle looking thing on the left side near the top), is that on that 15-22 it actually function like a real AR.
on the "colt/umarex" m4-22 it does not, an it doesnt on real ARs converted to shoot .22 either.
its a big plus, as a lot of people would use these types of guns to train for their real ARs, so its nice to have the same exact controls for muscle memory and training purposes.
