Ok so week 1 is over and I’ve gone from 92.9kg to 92.4kg so I’m down 0.5kg (so that's 204.38lb to 203.28lb - 1.1lbs down). I'm happy with this as I have stopped my 5x week lifting (down to 3x/week) but started ice skating 3x/week. But I think in the last 2 weeks I’m looking better in the mirror that in weeks I’ve lost more that this
But I have been doing no cardio before this week and 3x/week ice skating for 2 - 2.5hrs at a time is a truck load calories being burnt, the skating is casual but I’m training for ice hockey so it gets fast and hard at times! It might be that I’ve changed things around and my body is just adapting to the new routine. I'm hoping for that 2lbs next week but as long as I do 1lb a week I should hit 180lbs by may and be lean
Got my work xmas work party today and then drink after so I’ll try to get a bit of control in today, I had a bigger breakfast as I’l miss my normal midmorning snack/lunch/dinner but will have lunch from work and my my booze. When I go home I’ll eat but I’ll eat stuff I’ve got at home and not go eat crap.
It will be interesting to see how much of a difference the booze will really make; I wonder how much I’ll drop this week. It seems I’ve found my perfect level to drop ~1lb/week and that’s ~2,150 cals a day with once day cheating @ ~4,000.
I’ll keep you guys posted…

Well I haven't stepped on a scale since the start of this thing. Widsom tooth is still killing me so I haven't been able to get to the gym or eat anything worthwhile. Diet of the weekend was basically soup and noodles (pho) since I couldn't eat anything whole really. But good thing I'm on antibiotics so that meant no beer or alcohol for me at all. Pain seems to be going away slowly, but I'll have to get the pulled eventually which will probably put me back another week for recovery. Boooo urns.

Oo harsh...I hope you didn't have too many valuables inside. Hopefully it can be found.
I know it's difficult to take a bus, if you have access to one, you can always do that or walk to get groceries, I do.

I am seeing a somewhat small change in my measurements, and can feel the change, especially for my finger's, rings are sliding. Obliques are starting to slim once more, that is nice in itself. I've started to become a little bit more restrictive with my meal throughout the week once more. I've only ever allowed myself 1-2 free/sugar/eat in moderation days, now I am back to one.
I am pushing my running a little bit more. I've also picked up some 10 lb weights when I do my incline power walking on the tread.

Good Job, keep up the good work..!!!!
I am starting to notice in my shoulders and arms a few veins.. The same progress that happened last time when I got down under 200 2 years ago. Saturday I cheated on my diet.. I usually allow myself to eat bad during UFC fights.. Good think there are only usually 1 fight nights on average a month or so... My workouts have been awesome, feeling really strong, and adding more weight each workout it feels. Stepping up my cardio starting this week. Doing HIIT, and plan on cutting down my caloires by appr 200-300 a day... dropped a few lbs on the scale, but seem to add them back on over the weekend... Oh well If I keep working hard and eating clean, I will see the results on the scale as well..Goals by May 1st - under 12% BF and 195 lbs

Thanks!!
I am guessing from all the pics around here of very ripped men & woman that vein progression to the surface is something that is valued? A free day a month sounds not too shabby, & it was most likely one meal or snacks throughout the evening?
It is most likely just water weight... I'll be rootin for ya!!"Even if the Goals are Never Reached, they Keep the Mind Active & the Body Alive." ~ Me

Sorry for taking so long, had no work today cause of the cold so I've managed to figure out how to post my pics (computer illiterate) I have them all on the progress page with the date on a peice of paper taped to my door. I'm pretty embarassed of those pictures.. thats about the biggest I've gotten in a long time. Just gotta keep away from the beer and I should be alright. Well goodluck I'll post progress once I see some lol.

from my understanding veins in certain areas can usually only be seen under a certain % of BF.. I assume it can change for different ppl, but when I first drop alot of weight that was one of the results that I noticed was I could start to see veins starting to pop....
I am sure more and more time I get into the challege I may have to cheat here and there, but I only allow myself cheat meals, instead of cheat days.. lol..those become to fun, and I want to do them more often...
And as far as Fight Nights, If I stay at home at watch them , its usually some wings, and chips... If I go out, its usually wings or Chz burger or something, usually with sweet Iced tea.. not to bad, gotta enjoy eating every so often
Thanks for the Support ~Last edited by Gods_child; 12-08-2009 at 12:07 PM.

Still have no car but will go shopping tonight and hit the gym...I guess I'll hit up all the people I use to drive around. You know whats funny is that a lot of my friends give me crap because I will not go out and drink anymore...whats up with that? Like I am doing something so terrible by not drinking and wanting to be healthy!!!

Because they weren't really the best of friends to begin with....? Anyone can drink with anyone, & sadly maybe you're figuring out that drinking is the only thing you had in common with them.. Plus ppl get a little anxious when someone from *the group* starts going off on their own to better themselves, it kind of shines a bit more light onto their own personal lives.
